The Life Reboot retreat focuses on four main themes: connection with self, connection with creativity, connection with abundance, and connection with purpose. Its goal is to guide you in:
Your mornings will be spent together with other retreat goers in a small, intimate group setting. You will engage in guided inquiry, group dialogue, coaching, creativity exercises, meditation, and movement practices. As you go, you will share personal stories and insights, and engage in group and individual exploration.
Your afternoons will be unstructured to allow time for individual reflection, time in nature, and spontaneity for whatever moves you. You can enjoy the pool or hot tubs, hit the beach, take a hike, check out local attractions, or indulge in a massage.
You will reconvene each evening for sharing circles and meditation to integrate your discoveries and reflections from the day's activities.
You will walk away from the Life Reboot experience:
It is important to also clarify what this isn’t intended to be. It is not some kind of silver bullet and it is not magic! Please don't use this as therapy or a substitute for therapy.
Live it. Learn it. Here you are in this increasingly digital world, chock full of on-demand learning in the form of webinars and telecourses. Still, there is no substitute for the power of face-to-face interaction and live, in-person connection.
It is one thing to learn and grasp a concept on an intellectual level from listening to a podcast or from reading an e-book. It is another thing entirely to integrate true understanding through a lived experience. There are three huge benefits from attending a retreat like this as part of your personal development journey: commitment, community, and accountability.
Taking yourself out of your day to day environment and routines has an immense power. By dedicating a significant amount of time to self-discovery, that is a huge commitment to yourself, in and of itself. You are making a statement - choosing to show up for this kind of experience marks the beginning of a change.
Change is hard to do. It is even harder to do on your own. To make change stick, you need the support that you can only find in the context of a genuine community. Here you can connect with others who are on a similar path, to share your journeys, reflect on your struggles, and celebrate your successes.
Change is not an event. Meaningful change doesn't happen overnight; it is an ongoing process. Your process might begin here or be energized here, but it will certainly not end here. To help you maintain momentum towards your goals, the workshop will be followed up with three months of group coaching calls.
Kaistara creates a safe, sacred space for Life Reboot participants to connect on a deep level, where genuine and lasting bonds are forged. Together, you surface and examine outmoded ideas and worn-out belief systems. In this loving space of non-judgment, you can look at the habits that hold you back from change and courageously explore what's possible. Listen to what women have to say about this unique experience.
When Kaistara creates a container for like-hearted women to come together, healing happens, transformation happens - naturally, effortlessly. You will return from Life Reboot with a new set of cheerleaders, collaborators, and confidantes. The sisterhood that you will find here is a treasure in and of itself.
Yoga has been used for thousands of years for physical health, mental well-being, and spiritual fulfillment. Yoga at The Sanctuary is not physically dynamic but rather trained on a return to asanas as a focus for breath and stillness. The intent is to enhance your experience of tranquility, inner peace, and quiet mind.
You can choose to take part in one of the three yoga classes that are offered at Sanctuary every day. Your regular practice can help you come home to yourself by returning to - and reuniting - body and breath.
You will have a half-day excursion to Wai Nam beach and viewpoint if the weather allows it.
Wendy is a change consultant and executive coach and recovering achievement addict. Over the years, she has found that many of the principles that we use to guide people through changes within organizations are also useful to help them make changes within themselves - for the “soul purpose” of having more enjoyment and fulfillment in life. And, she believes that bringing a holistic perspective to these changes is what makes them authentic and sustainable. Her mission is to guide people in making an intentional shift: from balancing work-life to embracing their life’s work.
The Sanctuary Thailand is a spa and wellness beach resort in Koh Phangan, an island in southern Thailand. Perched on a rocky hillside in a quiet, remote bay on the southeast side of the island, The Sanctuary has long been a retreat destination for those seeking to reconnect with themselves. There are a variety of wellness, detox, yoga, and transformation experiences offered.
In contrast to its busy neighbor Koh Samui, the mountainous island of Koh Phangan has no airport and few roads. While Koh Phangan is well-known for its crazy full moon parties, outside of Haad Rin, the island exudes a sense of peace and calm. Its quiet beachfront setting and loving energy provide the ideal place to get away and retreat yourself for a Life Reboot!

The most direct way to get Koh Phangan is to fly from Bangkok International Airport (BKK) to the neighboring island of Koh Samui (USM) and then take a ferry boat to Koh Phangan from there. Bangkok Air has about 20 flights a day to and from the southern Thai islands. Thai Air also has flights to Koh Samui. If you are traveling on a budget, Nok Air is a local discount Thai airline which offers some convenient combination "fly and ferry" packages.
Koh Phangan island is easily accessible by high-speed ferry from several places in southern Thailand. Most ferry boats arrive on Koh Phangan at one of two towns, either Thong Sala or Haad Rin.
If your ferry boat lands in Thong Sala, you can go to Haad Rin town via songthaew using a shared taxi truck (20 minutes, 100 BHT per person). Once you are in Haad Rin, you can get a 4x4 truck taxi (45 minutes, 500 - 600 BHT per person), or longtail boat taxi (10 minutes, 300 BHT per person), to Haad Tien, home of The Sanctuary Thailand. Please note that taxi boat availability from Haad Rin to Haad Tien is weather dependent.
Please arrange your travel so that you are able to check in at The Sanctuary Thailand, on Haad Tien Bay on Koh Phangan, before 17:00 on Sunday, December 4, 2016. For most travelers who are flying in from locations outside of Asia, this most likely means planning to arrive at Bangkok on Saturday, December 3.
You will close the retreat with a morning session after breakfast on Sunday, December 11. Please plan for your taxi or boat departure from The Sanctuary to be no earlier than 12:00 on Sunday, December 11. If your schedule is flexible, many participants enjoy having extra time in the retreat location before traveling.
Depending on the waves and the weather in December, taxi boats may or may not be running on a regular schedule, so please factor in that element of variability in making your travel plans. Expect the unexpected, as local travel often takes place on 'Thai time'.
The Sanctuary can also arrange a private speedboat to or from the airport for you if you need their assistance.
