I can't say enough good things about the people and the energy here. Jungle's Edge is a great place to spend time (fire pit, infinity pool, yoga studio, round bar.....) I stayed longer than I planned and will definitely be back. The yoga is incredible and there are plenty of rentable surf boards; though the place isn't on the beach it is protected and quiet. Great spot

My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the bungalows, we enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. They offer many additional services, such as rides into town, ATV rentals, surfing rentals and lessons, yoga classes, etc.. The amenities are great, including an absolutely stunning pool. The food and drinks at the restaurant are delicious and made with the freshest ingredients (many of which are grown on the property!!!). This is a beautiful piece of paradise that is a great place to spend your day relaxing but also close enough to town if you'd rather do some exploring or visit the beach. We'll definitely be going back in the future!

I traveled to Nosara with a friend and we stayed in two of the bedrooms in the main house, sharing the bathroom between those rooms and the communal kitchen downstairs. We didn't know much about Costa Rica before showing up and were so happy to find that Jungle's Edge and Nosara were just what we hoped for! The lodgings were comfortable and beautiful, the staff all friendly and eager to be helpful, the availability of classes (we did yoga daily) and adventures (we went paddle boarding on a river nearby) were great--we merely expressed an interest and it would materialize the next day. We discovered a fresh fish stand a block away that had amazing fish caught fresh daily--we feasted on fresh sea bass and tuna along with the papayas and other produce we got at an equally convenient grocery store. When we ate in the restaurant, we were impressed by how much care the cooks put into presenting dishes that were beautiful as well as tasty. The walk to town or to the beach is about 15-20 minutes so we never missed having a car. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and one I'd return again for sure!

Amazing staff, great food, fantastic accommodations, just a short drive from everything including the beach. Dave, one of the owners of the property is awesome, great information on the local area and is super helpful and friendly.
They have surf lessons, waterfall tours, snorkel tours, river tours, they also offer yoga and massage as well as rentals of bikes, SUP, surfboards and ATVs.
The property also has a club house at the top of the hill with a beautiful infinity pool, the largest pool in all of Nosara.
The food here is amazing. Breakfast they offer great juices and smoothies as well as burritos and bowls. I had the most delicious veggie bowl ever here, complete with an ever full glass of wine!!
We stayed in a small bungalow with our own bath with a huge hot water shower. We were very happy with the room, it was very clean and comfortable. So comfortable we slept 14 hours on our first night!
Would recommend this place highly to other travelers, great price and superb accommodations!

I just returned from a week's stay at Jungles Edge and I have to say it was one of the best surfing trips of my life. I specifically came for the High Performance Surf Camp, an all-inclusive package that includes lodging, meals, surf coaching/guidance, and video analysis/workshops. I have been surfing for 10+ years, but I really felt like I was in a rut and was not improving. I was really looking to get some expert coaching and guidance to help take my surfing to the next level. To be honest, I did not know what to expect, but when I got there, all of my expectations were exceeded. Let me begin by saying the property is excellent and unique. Dave, the owner, is a great guy who has created a really incredible space and culture at Jungles Edge. It is located in a beautiful jungle, not far from Playa Guiones. You can walk or bike easily to the beach, but I had a car which made things even easier for exploring the area. The grounds exist harmoniously with their environment. They have organic gardens where they grow a lot of the food that they serve in their restaurant. The food is top notch. Everything from the juices, smoothies, and meals are delicious and healthy. They also have a really cool communal area for hanging out and cooking your own meals. I had a private AC room with a private bath with hot water, which was impeccably clean and comfortable, but, you can opt for less expensive options, if you want shared baths and a shared room or cabinas. The salt water infinity pool by the main house was also beautiful, set atop a hill for excellent views of the surrounding jungle. In addition, the staff is super friendly and willing to please. The last thing I would add is that they have lots of options in terms of accommodations and experiences. I chose to do the all-inclusive, but you could do just lodging or lodging and meals. You should look at their website to see all the other options. Like I said, this is an all-around great place to stay which I highly recommend. The only criticism I would give is that while the restaurant food was great, it was always a little different depending on who was working in the kitchen. I could order the same thing on the menu twice and it could be different depending on who made it. It was always good, but I have to admit I never knew exactly what I was going to get when I ordered it,lol.
Now, let me talk about the surf coaching, which is the real reason I came. Dave hooked me up with Chris, their lead instructor. (I saw a previous review that said something negative about Chris. I can’t verify what that person experienced, but I have nothing but positive things to say about Chris.) Surfing with him was such a great experience, because he not only friggin' shreds, he knows how to impart that knowledge. He was able to assess my ability on the first day we met, then we worked on certain skills which we both agreed that I needed to work on. Every day he pushed me physically and mentally in the water. And after, we reviewed video that was shot by either Daniel or Helen from the shore. This video analysis was so valuable that in some ways that alone is where I got the most value, watching myself and seeing what I was doing wrong and right. In all my years of surfing, I had never even seen myself, so this feature of their program really helped me tremendously. We also reviewed wave chasing, wave reading, and wave positioning both theoretically out of the water on paper and in the water as we were surfing. Furthermore, we traveled to different breaks depending on the conditions and tides. This was all complemented by Dave's knowledge, who himself is an excellent surfer. The pool is another tool where you can practice things like duck diving, paddling, and other things. In many ways, I re-learned a lot of what I thought I knew about surfing and left with the feeling that everything that I had been doing wrong before was now corrected. I had so much knowledge to take back with me to my home break in California.
I could write a lot more, but I think you get the gist of it. This is a great place to stay with amazing people(both staff and other guests). They also offer things like MMA training, TRX, and yoga, but I could not take advantage of it all because I was so tired from the surfing. It was actually fascinating to think that they had all this offer, but all I was really interested in was the surfing. The other stuff is a great bonus if you have the energy for it.
