"We arrived after dark, but even then we could tell that Jungle Bay is beautiful and special. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. We are not regular hikers or fitness buffs, but the guides and staff helped us find the right balance of activities while making everything enjoyable for us. The room was great with an amazing view, the food was delicious and the restaurant staff members were more than willing to change things up for us if we asked. The ladies in the office were outstanding and, since we spent the most time with them, we thought the guides were wonderful. They were full of information, made the activities fun and educational while always keeping everyone safe. We felt like we were their top priority. We enjoyed the cooking demonstration and the various talks on history. The setting for the spa is not to be missed. The spa treatments were excellent and seeing/hearing the waves crash into the rocks while getting a massage may be impossible to top. We were there during the off season, but it felt like there was a full staff on duty so we were very well attended. The resort is truly beautiful and I think you can hear the ocean just about everywhere on the property."

"I can't say enough about how wonderful Jungle Bay is and what a great time we had here! The cabins were great and very clean. A few critters here and there but you're in the jungle! I showered with a lizard every morning. The showers weren't very warm, but they're solar heated and we were there in February so maybe that had something to do with it? It wasn't too hot but it was perfect weather for hiking! We definitely took advantage of the Jungle Bay Spa and Adventure Package. The trip to Victoria Falls and Sari Sari Falls was amazing. Victoria was a bit more strenuous but definitely worth it because it was absolutely gorgeous. Lots of boulders to climb over though and you WILL get wet so be prepared. If you're looking for an easy trek, the Glasse Trail would be the one for you. It was beautiful and an easy walk there and back. I would definitely recommend the hike to Pomp's place, a self-sustained organic farm in the mountains. It was very interesting to see and Pomp and his wife were so friendly. I capped off our last day there with the hike to boiling lake. It's definitely extreme but WELL worth it. Probably my favorite hike of the trip (once I regained feeling in my legs). If you're going on that hike, be sure to brings lots of water and a rain jacket because the weather can turn in a second and it can get pretty chilly. The hot springs on the way back were a nice relaxing dip and a good way to loosen up the muscles."

"Go now, before Dominica is too 'discovered.' Jungle Bay is a kind of nature reserve for your mind, body and spirit. Our package included daily spa treatments (we both chose massage every day!), yoga, all meals (including picnics for excursions), amazing fresh tropical fruit juices all day long, activities such as drumming class, and daily offerings of amazing guided hiking both near and far, kayaking, and snorkeling. Transfers to and from airports, ferries, (or wherever else you originate from or depart to on the island) and for all excursions are included as well. If you choose to dive, for which Dominica is already becoming famous, the hotel provides your transport and you pay the dive shops their normal fees. The staff is always warm and helpful, greet you by name, and seem to sincerely care about both your wellbeing and your satisfaction. Every guest has an independent cottage with full privacy in the lush rainforest. Note that step climbing is required. A wonderful hammock is strung on every front veranda. Our cottage is one of our best memories!"
