The beauty of going on a retreat is that no matter where you go or how long you stay, you'll always meet yourself when you get there. Are you ready to listen to a bird singing, deeply breathe in the smell of flowers, grass, or earth, and delight in a soft breeze blowing on your face? Awaken your heart in the magical setting of Vernonia Springs, surrounded by old growth forest, for an uplifting and nourishing experience that might just change your life forever.
During this retreat, you will be camping on the venue's grounds, with lots of space to pitch your tent. Please take into consideration that tents are not included in the total price. Please bring your own tent to this retreat.
This private park has several amenities that include a log pavilion, 3,500-square-feet straw bale day lodge, ADA bathroom-shower building, trout pond, licensed commercial food cart, a Banks-Vernonia State trail that runs through the property, hiking-mountain bike trails on property, tent campground, fire pit area, and amphitheater. The ADA building has two bathrooms and two showers.
If you don't want to bring your own tent, there is also the possibility to rent one for the additional price of 25 USD.
Without the pull of deadlines, relationships, the Internet, or other media, if you give yourself time to go deep into your own heart where you can fully reflect on your joys, sorrows, and fears, you can own them, release them, and come to understand your path more intimately. The Awakened Heart Journey is about taking this time and space to awaken, discover, and renew.
Gentle yoga and meditation to the sound of crystal singing bowls, with the healing energy of Reiki, great food, time to yourself, and time to connect with other women will be just a few of the very special things you will experience during this fifth annual women's recovery yoga retreat. This retreat will take place at Vernonia Springs, in Oregon, USA. Vernonia Springs is an eco-friendly private park located at the base of the Northwest Oregon Coast Range, halfway between Portland (35 to 45-minute drive), in the Willamette Valley, and Cannon Beach, on the Oregon Coast (45 to 60-minute drive). The property consists of 28 acres of forestland, pastures, springs, creeks, and ponds.
During your stay, you will be provided with three daily meals, as well as coffee and tea.
There is so much to see and do in the area. If you are into cycling, be sure to bring your road and mountain bikes and take full advantage of the Banks-Vernonia Bicycle Trail. The trail is 21 miles long and connects to several other amazing bike trails in both directions. The bike trail was named the second best bike trail in the state of Oregon by The Oregonian. Trek hybrid and comfort cruiser bikes are available for rent. Other nearby outdoor activities include hiking, golfing, kayaking, and more.
You can also visit the towns of Vernonia, Portland, or Cannon Beach. In Vernonia, you will find almost everything you need, including several restaurants, bars, a well-stocked grocery store, and a hardware store. The Vernonia Pioneer Museum is actually quite interesting and worth visiting when you ride your bike into town.
Portland is a beautiful city well known for its many restaurants, micro-breweries, and live music, while Cannon Beach features some amazing restaurants and lodging, as well as several beautiful state parks. The views are breathtaking.
