Pearl, a precious place of yoga and holistic island living, offers an on-going retreat throughout the year.

With an amazing panorama of the wonderful west coast of Barbados, this serene hideaway, which is set in a tropical garden of fruit trees and coconut palms, is a real gem where you can create your own unique yoga experience. Hosted by International yoga teacher, Judith Daniel, your basic package includes Bed, Breakfast and Yoga. Beyond that, you will be able to choose from an ocean of possibilities, which include Vinyasa Flow, Yin, meditation and pranayama, Thai Yoga massage and SUP yoga and design your stay to suit your needs and desires. Your stay must be a minimum of 3 nights.

Judith, an experienced teacher, who fell in love with Barbados many years ago, is keen to share her teaching and passion for the island and to welcome you onto the beautiful yoga deck, where wild nature meets the sun and the sky. Step away from your daily routine and surrender to nature's rhythms. Salute the sun by day, and the moon and the stars at night. Enjoy your time to the full on the mat and on the island.

The house has an interrupted view of lush tropical forest, sea, and sky...

Life is mainly outside on the verandah and sun-deck/outdoor living room, where you can get lost in the view and the peace and quiet of the moment.

Your room, which has its own private entrance, is spacious, freshly decorated with new beds, which can either be a King or two twins - you can see the sea when horizontal through one of its three windows.

It has a sizeable ensuite with walk-in shower. There is also a small fridge, oven, kettle, and coffee making facilities in the room.

The room has AC and a floor fan, but as it's quite high up, there's a constant breeze, which as well as keeping you cool, keeps any mosquitos away.

Program

Hosted by international yoga teacher, Judith Daniel, your time at the island's first and only Yoga B&B will include sessions with her, incorporating Vinyasa and Yin. She is also a Thai yoga massage therapist and teaches SUP yoga lessons and can organise other types of massage and therapies.

The day will generally start with yoga and a blissful breakfast... Beyond that, it's up to you...

You can spend the day in the turquoise blue, crystal clear waters of the Caribbean sea on one of the beautiful beaches below.

Or on the sun deck at Pearl, with your feet up and a great book. Or just staring out to the blue sky and sea, just breathing and being.

Or explore the island and it's many natural beauty sites.

Hiring a car is a good option and Pearl's Wheels is the perfect runaround. Again your host is happy to organise this.

PEARL is an ongoing retreat. Availability is offered throughout the year. A 3-night minimum is required but beyond that anything is possible… 3 weeks, 3 months….

Five minutes drive from happening Speightstown, but a world away through a forest and up to a hill, Pearl nestles in a tropical garden of fruit trees and coconut palms and has an amazing panoramic view of the wonderful west coast of the island.

Below bustling Speightstown is like stepping back in time in the Caribbean but at the same time is very up and coming with great restaurants and bars and beautiful beaches. It is easy to get from there by bus or car to Holetown, Sandy Lane, and other west coast hot spots or to head east to the wilds of Bathsheba and more rugged shore.

Hiring a car is a good idea, especially if you want to explore the island. "Peal's Wheels" is a trusty runaround, available to hire and not so expensive. Ask your host for details.

Food

A healthy breakfast of delicious home-made granola will be served with a fresh local fruit salad and nut milk. Coffee and tea also offered. Additionally, a small menu of food and drinks will be made available and the room will have its own fridge and basic self-catering facilities.

Guests can choose from delicious raw food, fresh fish cooked Caribbean style, vegetarian/vegan options.

The room will have basic catering facilities and there are some wonderful restaurants to explore in addition to dining in.
