Step into the tranquil oasis that is Blue Osa. Set on a remote beachfront location, this eco-resort houses guests in three main buildings along with on-site facilities including an open-air yoga studio on the second floor of the yoga building that overlooks the private beach. The lap pool is with a solar-powered filtration system. An eco-friendly copper-silver ionizing system is used so that algae and other bacteria cannot live in the water. A lounge area near the staff office features complimentary wireless internet access.
Blue Osa is located about eight miles south of Puerto Jimenez on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica which National Geographic Magazine labeled “the most biologically intense place on Earth.” The resort is nearest to the border of the world-renowned Corcovado National Park and on the warm shores of the Golfo Dulce. While visiting this tropical eco-resort you are likely to spot some of Costa Rica’s shyest and most endangered rainforest inhabitants, including the red-backed squirrel monkey, scarlet macaws, harpy eagles, and maybe even a jaguar.
A daily package of three meals and one snack is included in the price. Dine on healthy, mostly plant-based meals that include freshly-caught fish and locally-raised meat and poultry. Coffee, tea, and purified water is available throughout the day in The Cocina, an open kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is provided with fresh vegetables, herbs and fruits like mango, guanabana, starfruit, citrus, banana, coconut, avocado, papaya and pineapple.

A flight from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) to Puerto Jimenez Airport (PJM) takes approximately forty-five minutes. Once your flights are booked, provide your arrival and departure times to Johns Creek Yoga. Your shuttle will be provided through Blue Osa, and a shuttle confirmation will be emailed to you. Blue Osa is twenty to thirty minutes from Puerto Jimenez Airport (PJM).
Traveling by bus is recommended only by experienced travelers or if you are adequate in the Spanish language. Buses leave daily from San José and pass through San Isidro de El General where passengers can also get on. Bus 699 from Terminal Atlantico Norte leaves from San Jose at 06:00 and 12:00, taking about ten hours to reach Puerto Jimenez. The Tracopa Bus 612 from Terminal Alfaro to Golfito can also be taken, which takes about eight hours and leaves at 07:00 and 15:00.
The ferry from Golfito to Puerto Jimenez takes about an hour and a half and runs twice daily. The schedule is random and subject to change. The price is marked at 4 USD. There are also fast ferries available that can do the trip in about thirty minutes, the cost for this is 6 USD. The schedule can change.
Puerto Jimenez from Golfito by boat takes and hour and a half and departs daily from Municipal Dock (Muelle) at 11:00 and returns at 18:00.
