Join Joan Hyman Yoga for a weekend to rest and renew before the holiday season in a beautiful healing sanctuary tucked away in the hills and surrounded by the peace and quiet of nature in Ojai, California. Live an experience of true collective well-being and connection as you step out of your busy life and embrace a weekend to rejuvenate and return to yourself!
For this retreat, you will be able to practice yoga twice daily, with one vigorous Vinyasa flow practice in the morning and a restorative calming practice in the evening. Yoga practices will be two hours long. Yin and meditation sessions will last 90 minutes.
Joan Hyman's grounded teaching style seamlessly supports her students as they emerge from their practice with the rich and bright energy that yoga has to offer. Joan’s teachings come from an organic and intuitive place, as she draws upon the combination studies of Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga as well as Ayurveda and meditation. An authentic modern day yogi, Joan's love and devotion show up in her practice and through her teachings.
This retreat will take place in Ojai, California, at the base of the foothills of the Los Padres National Forest, yet is conveniently located within walking distance of Ojai's beautiful and charming downtown area, parks, and hiking trails. Ojai’s tranquil, natural retreat setting and sense of place is perhaps its greatest healing feature.
In the mornings you're awakened by the sounds of nature as you rise to an environment of serene wildflowers beneath the majestic Topa-Topa mountains. At sunset the stunning ‘Ojai Pink Moment’ colors the mountains a gorgeous pink. In the evenings, bright starlit nights under the clear Ojai sky are the norm.
Revel in a back-to-nature feeling, while simultaneously enjoying the benefits of fresh air and nature. Ojai is the perfect setting for realization of a timeless state of being. This and more awaits.
