You will be accommodated at the Center of Unity, Schweibenalp. You can rise each morning in this peaceful oasis overlooking lake Brienz for a yoga and meditation session in the spacious yoga studio. There are 31 rooms on four stories that all have been designed individually. Linen and towels are available. Each floor has its own bathroom.


Women’s yoga and mindfulness retreat

Rise each morning in a peaceful mountain oasis. Enjoy the nourishing vegetarian meals in the dining room or outside on the terrace. Practice Dynamic and Restorative yoga sessions and learn mindfulness practices that you can integrate into your daily life.

The program

Begins Friday, October 15th at 4 p.m. and ends on Sunday, October 17th at 2 p.m., after lunch

  • A variety of yoga classes including a blend of Dynamic, Yin, pranayama, and Restorative yoga
  • Taught by trained and experienced teacher Jennifer Frye (teaching classes and retreats since 2007)
  • 2 times optional early morning meditation practice
  • 3 asana classes
  • 2 restorative evening classes
  • Yoga philosophy, mindfulness, and compassion-based practices that you can integrate into day-to-day life.

The program can be adapted on-site according to the needs of the participants. Participation in all classes is voluntary. If you sleep in or just want to rest, that's perfectly fine. Listen to your body. You know your body best. The retreat is suitable for practitioners of all levels.

This Women's Yoga and Mindfulness retreat will be held at the Center of Unity, in the quiet village of Schweibenalp; a sanctuary in the Bernese Oberland Alps, Switzerland. Schweibenalp is located in the middle of the Bernese Oberland Alps on a plateau 1100 meters above sea level, on the edge of the Giessbach Gorge. From here you have a wonderful view of the mountains of the Rothornkette, the Axalphorn, and Lake Brienz. The steeply sloping Giessbach waterfalls, alpine meadows, forests, and mountains with their mountain lakes and streams invite you to pause and be touched by the beauty of nature.

Arrival by airplane

Pleasebook your flight to arrive at Zurich Airport (ZRH). You can also book your flight to arrive at Geneva Airport (GVA). Transfer from the airport is not included.

Arrival by train

Arrival via Lucerne or Bern to Brienz. From Brienz train station, continue by Postbus "Axalp" to the stop "Bramisegg".
