Xinalani Retreat Center is a private beachfront eco resort just south of Puerto Vallarta and only accessible by boat. It offers incredible natural beauty, nourishing food, and a top-notch service staff.

The resort features 23 ocean front rooms with a total capacity of 54 people. All the accommodations are beachfront, spacious, palm-thatched cabins floating on stilts. They were designed with refined elegance and built and furnished by local artisans.

The rooms' cozy interiors inspire feelings of calm and serenity. You will enjoy the closeness of the natural elements, the stimulation of the open-air private showers, and the stunning views of the Pacific Ocean from your terrace.

Deluxe rooms

Deluxe rooms (260 square feet) are cozy and perfect for single travelers, two friends, or budget-savvy couples. They feature either two single beds or one double bed. Each features spacious bathroom, open air shower, and sitting desk. There are eight deluxe rooms and they are located near the restaurant and beach club. Deluxe room guests don't get the access to Wi-Fi from their room but they generally don't mind walking to the dining patio or the reception.

Eco chic suite

The eco chic suite is the resort's higher-end room. They are characterized by a spectacular ocean view and a unique Zen chic setting. They are equipped either with one king size bed or two double beds. All eco chic suites are 525 square feet. They have a private terrace, a hammock, a sitting area, a private bathroom, and a closet. All beds have pillow top mattresses and gorgeous mosquito netting. All rooms have a safe locker to deposit valuables. Eco-chic suites guests don't get the access to Wi-Fi from their room but they generally don't mind walking to the dining patio or reception.

Petite suite

Petite suite are 400 square feet and equipped with one king size bed or two double beds with pillow top mattresses, luxury linen, a beautiful silk mosquito netting, a private terrace with an ocean and jungle view, a hammock, a sitting area, a complete private bathroom, and a closet. Petite suites guests don't get access to Wi-Fi from their room but they generally don't mind walking to the dining patio or reception.

Your nourishing adventure begins the moment you arrive as all transportation and all meals are taken care of and Jennie watches out for each student’s individual needs.

During this eight days’ relaxing retreat, you will begin your day with a balanced asana practice and meditation. The morning practices usually begin with a light Vinyasa flow and the afternoon practices hold a variety of Restorative and Yoga Nidra, pranayama, devotional chanting, and dharma talks.

Jennie will also weave yoga philosophy into all her classes for a deeper understanding of how you can live happier, love-filled lives.

The day concludes with a delicious dinner at sunset, serenaded by the ocean’s Om.

    Mindy has been teaching yoga for 15 years. She is the owner and operator of Rocky Mountain Yoga with roots in the Ashtanga tradition. Her teachings have evolved immensely over the years to include Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and iRest yoga Nidra. Prepare to be inspired as her strength lies in the ability to cater to groups and individuals needs. Stemming from a deep love for travel, arts, and leisure, Mindy is delighted to bring a group overseas to explore new areas and create opportunities for growth.

This retreat will be held on the southern shore of Banderas Bay, near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

During the retreat, you will be served three meals per day including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There will be also water, teas, and fresh squeezed juices available.

Xinalani Retreat Center focuses on procuring a balanced diet that covers your caloric needs. There are eggs, fish, sea food, and chicken, but no red meat. There are also vegan and gluten free options at every meal.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Jennie Lee Yoga Therapy will pick you up from the airport.

Arrival by ferry / boat

In order to get to the retreat venue, you will have to take a boat as there’s no access by road. It is recommended that you select an arrival flight that lands no later than 16:30 as the last boat service leaves at 18:30 from a little fisherman town, Boca de Tomatlan.

Traveling by boat at night is not recommended for safety reasons. For that matter, if you cannot be at the pier at 18:30, it is recommended that you spend the night in Puerto Vallarta and catch an early boat in the morning.
