The restful venue for the yoga is West Lexham in the heart of Norfolk, a famous retreat centre set in 21 acres of beautiful grounds and tranquil nature. Run on 90% renewables and a Site Of Special Scientific Interest for its pure, natural chalk stream and floating water meadows, this is a place that upholds a legacy of natural stewardship.

Buildings are renovated using traditional skills and eco building techniques, while furniture is handmade and rooms are designed with an artistic flair. It truly is an oasis of calm in which to spend a couple of nights resting and renewing yourself.

There are meandering pathways to explore, ancient trees to walk under and wildlife galore - you may spot the Barn Owls hunting voles, the Egrets fishing for Crayfish, or perhaps even the cheeky heron stealing fresh water mussels!

  • 07:00 Yoga practice
  • 09:00 Breakfast to set you up for the day
  • Free time to explore, relax, and revitalise
  • 13:30 Lunch
  • Cooking class with the chef so you can learn how to make the wonderful food you will be eating during the weekend retreat
  • Alternatively, you can enjoy your free time and just relax
  • 17:00 Restorative yoga practice
  • 19:00 Dinner and perhaps sitting by the fire, in comfort, in the evening

The manor is situated in the best of the Norfolk countryside, so you can get to Downham Market station in one hour 25 minutes from London Kings Cross. It is then a 30 minutes' transfer to the retreat. Close enough to get there easily, far enough from the bustling city that you can take the time to stop, stretch your body, and relax for the weekend.
