You will be accommodated at the Island Plantation Hotel in Bocas Del Toro for five nights. Get ready for island-style barefoot elegance. Each room was designed and decorated with natural comfort in mind. Many rooms have one king-sized and one twin bed and private bathrooms, while the one upstairs suite shares a bathroom between two rooms with the trade off of a porch with hammock, and amazing ocean and monkey-dwelling tree views.
This retreat also includes two overnight stays at the Bristol Hotel in Panama City during the arrival day and the final retreat night before departing from Panama. During this retreat, you can expect vigorous and transformational yoga sessions in the mornings, with a strong emphasis on alignment and correct bio-mechanics. There will be a total of six morning yoga sessions, as there will be none for the arrival and departure days. During the later part of each day, you will experience sweet, mellow, and restorative yoga sessions that will allow your body to recover from the day's adventures and activities.
A guided and walking city tour of Casco Antiguo (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), catamaran sail and snorkel group trip, and guided nighttime beach walk to watch the turtles lay eggs or to watch the babies head out to sea (seasonal) are included in the price of this retreat. You will also have a group flight to reach your accommodation in Bocas del Toro from Panama City.
Jessica has been practicing yoga for 24 years. She started at the original Jivamukti Yoga Studio in East Village, New York. She completed her 500-hour training in 1997 at the Jivamukti Yoga School under the guidance of Sharon Gannon and David Life. She spent many hours studying the Anusara, Iyengar, and Ashtanga styles and is currently pursuing certification in Ashaya yoga, which sprouted from Anusara, with Todd Norian. Jessica is also a triathlete, an avid surfer, and the owner of KamaDeva Yoga.
