During this retreat, you will be accommodated either at Glendevon Guesthouse or at Holmleigh Guesthouse. Please note that in cases where the hotels have no vacancies, Jala Flow Yoga will strive to place you in an alternative accommodation of a similar standard.

Glendevon Guesthouse

The Glendevon is a stylish Victorian house which has been beautifully adapted to bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of Sidmouth, Devon. All eight bedrooms are en suite and have color television, tea and coffee making facilities, and central heating. There are three double bedrooms, four single bedrooms, and one twin room. The rooms are tastefully decorated with modern furniture and comfortable bed. There are no single room supplements.

Holmleigh Guesthouse

Holmleigh is the nearest guest house to the seafront and five minutes' walk to the town center of Sidmouth, both on a level position. All rooms are en suite and beautifully appointed, offering the guarantee of comfort that the regular guests have come to enjoy.

This retreat will be held in the floral coastal town of Sidmouth, East Devon, United Kingdom, nestling between Peak Hill to the west and Salcombe Hill to the east. It is a delightful holiday location with spectacular views from the cliffs either side of the town. Its two beaches are safe for bathing, sailing, or fishing. Sidmouth is a perfect place to relax and offers a variety of activities including tennis, golf, bowls, and swimming.

    After ten years of battling the pressure that comes with existing as a cog-in-the-wheel of large multinational corporations, Tom owes much gratitude to his immediate family, his wife, and sister, both practicing yoga instructors, who helped direct him towards a more fulfilling path in life. Tom felt like his spirits were immediately lifted ever since he attended his first yoga class and a new invigoration for life has been with him ever since.

  • Louise Hunt

    Louis started her yoga journey in 1997 after stumbling across a class in a gym where she was teaching aerobics. She is an experienced instructor, British Wheel of Yoga qualified, and has been teaching classes and workshops since 2001. She also holds the BSY Hatha and BSY pre and post natal yoga diplomas as well as being a relax kids coach for any budding yogis out there. As a teacher, she feels honored to share her studies and love of yoga with her students. She aims for everyone to leave her classes feeling healthier and happier than they were when they walked in.

    "I had an amazing retreat at the Jala Flow Yoga. I felt welcomed and at home the moment I arrived at Tom and Louise Hunt's studio. They were so nice and helpful throughout my stay. The yoga classes were excellent and of top notch quality. I participated in an Iyengar workshop and attended some vinayassa, hatha and yin classes. I stayed at a lovely hotel right on the esplanade with beautiful views of the ocean. The meals were great and their were plenty of vegetarian options.     "I was fortunate enough to have had Louise teach me yoga for 18 months (mainly Ashtanga and Hatha flow) and I can honestly say that I have never had a teacher quite as special as her. She has a wonderful way of teaching a challenging, fast paced class while maintaining a wonderfully calm and focused atmosphere. She also manages to give each and every member of her class the focused attention they need, without compromising the flow of the class. I consider myself lucky to have had her as a teacher, and she is largely responsible for my love of yoga today. Through her nurturing teaching style and supportive, caring nature I have developed a strong and committed daily practice.
