Join in for an authentic farm experience in a quiet and serene Italian village. Italy Farm Stay welcomes you to take part in this amazing holiday to re-connect with your body and mind through daily yoga practice, meditation, farm activities, and hiking in the mountains of Abruzzo National Park!
At Italy Farm Stay, you can choose from different types of rooms to fit your budget and your vacation. All of the rooms have terracotta tiles, beautifully hand-painted trees, wildlife on the walls, and wood furniture with hand-carved details. The beds are new and comfortable, so you can be assured that you will have a pleasant night's sleep during your stay. The rooms have been recently restored and are equipped with a fan in the summer and a heating unit in the colder months. Air-conditioning is also provided for an additional cost of 5 EUR per day in the ensuite rooms.
However, all of the rooms are made of limestone walls, which keep them quite cool in the summer, and air-conditioning is not necessary for most guests. The larger rooms can accommodate up to four or five people. There is a crib available for families traveling with young children. Camping on the farm is also available for guests who are looking for a more affordable stay but want to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the farm. You can bring your own tent and equipment, or you can rent a tent, sleeping bag, and sleeping mat for a small fee.
The campground is in a beautiful area of the farm, close to many fruit trees and vegetables, which you can pick yourself and eat for free. You will wake up each morning to a beautiful view of the mountains and the surrounding area. Included in the camping fee is the use of a new shared indoor bathroom (the bathroom is equipped with a hot shower).
Grind out with daily yoga practice and silent meditation hiking on the quiet, lush trails in the local Abruzzo National Park. Relax your physical and energetic body with an included Reiki session or a massage session. Morning Hatha yoga classes help you start the day energized and rejuvenated.
The day will be full of hiking, exploring, trips to the nearby town of Sora and other beautiful sites like a castle you will hike to, a visit to a local lake, a waterfall hike, and many others.
Antonello Siragusa is the founder and host of Yoga Farm Stay. He started traveling around the world in his mid-teens and discovered a passion for yoga after traveling to India. He completed his 500 hours of TTC in 2017, after several years of being a student of yoga. Since then he has been going back to Asia in the winter months to continue to study yoga, deepen his practice and teach asana, pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy. He considers teaching yoga one of his most important spiritual practice. In the meanwhile, yoga became the central activity of his eco-farm stay.
Ana’s journey through yoga has taken her across continents and deep into the heart of diverse spiritual traditions. Having trained in North America, Asia, and Europe, she has delved into the teachings of Hatha, Yin, Tantra, and Kundalini Yoga. In her classes, expect more than just physical postures as her approach is meditative and gentle. She incorporate mantras into her classes and often leads bhajan and kirtan circles. Beyond yoga, Ana is also a dedicated Reiki practitioner and master, offering courses and trainings, supporting the holistic approach to wellness and spiritual growth.
The holiday will take place in Pescosolido, Lazio, Italy. Italy Farm Stay is an organic farm located directly between Rome and Naples—two hours from each city. This area is well connected by trains, buses, and highways and is easily accessible to guests without a car. They are situated at the foot of a beautiful mountain in the Abruzzo National Park, close to ample hiking trails, pristine waterfalls, and beautiful lakes. The park itself is known for its wide variety of interesting fauna, including the Marsican bear, the wolf, the lynx, the roe, the deer, the Abruzzo chamois, and the Golden Eagle.
Though it is a farm in a rural area, the town of Sora (about 35,000 inhabitants) is only 40 minutes away by foot. In Sora, you can hike to an old church and castle, visit the open-air market on Thursday mornings, eat local cuisine (such as truffles) at the many restaurants, sample real Italian gelato, and go to the numerous cafes, pubs, and shops along the lively main street. This region is a real treasure—an undiscovered gem in one of the most beautiful parts of Italy.

During this retreat, you will be served daily vegetarian and organic breakfast and dinner at the farm. Non-vegetarian dinners are also available but the staff must be notified in advance. Gluten-free and lactose-free can be catered for. The farm tries to be as self-sufficient as possible while creating nutritious and delectable meals for its guests. Ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, potatoes, eggs, meat, olive oil, and wine come directly from the farm.
All the ingredients coming from the farm are strictly organic, and the ones that are bought from outside are not necessarily so, but the kitchen team is always committed to offering healthy food.
Breakfast on the farm, which takes place between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., is a traditional Italian simple breakfast. It includes coffee, tea, homemade seasonal jam, bread, milk, and biscuits. Seasonal fruits and vegetables from the farm are often included in the breakfast.
Dinner is a special time to sit together, which will give you the opportunity to eat a traditional Italian meal full of wholesome food from a wide variety of farm products. Dinner includes two dishes, which are usually pasta, which is often homemade by hand that day, followed by seasonal vegetables, fresh salad, local handmade cheese, homegrown potatoes, eggs from the farm, lentils, or beans.
Non-vegetarian meals are available on request. Italy Farm Stay offers a dish with locally selected meat such as steak, chicken, or pork for an additional cost of 3 EUR. The meal is also accompanied by local bread. Homemade wine is served with the meals for an additional cost of 2.5 EUR per half liter.
You are welcome to pick and eat from the abundance of fruits that comes from the farm. It is an indescribable pleasure to eat fresh organic fruit directly from the trees. On the farm, the fruit is handpicked when it is perfectly ripe so that you can enjoy the full flavor. There is a wide variety of fruits available, especially in late spring, summer, and fall. Among them are figs, plums, peaches, cherries, cherries, persimmons, apples, pears, grapes, apricots, berries, and nuts.
There are many options for additional activities, like horseback riding, cheese farm and vineyard tours, and pasta cooking classes.

From Rome, the easiest way to get to the farm is by bus. The bus leaves frequently throughout the day, even on Sundays and holidays. To catch the bus, you must go to the Anagnina bus station in Rome by taking the metro line A. The bus to Sora leaves from platform 10 and the price of a ticket is around 6 EUR. The station in Sora is the last stop on the bus, so while you are on the bus, you can relax and not worry about missing your stop.
From Naples, there is a bus that takes you to Sora that leaves every day except Sundays and holidays from Piazza Garibaldi. Piazza Garibaldi is in front of the main train station in Naples. The name of the bus company is ARPA and the bus goes to Avezzano. Make sure to ask the driver to tell you when you get to the station in Sora. The ticket costs 9 EUR which can be paid for on the bus, leaves at 2:30 p.m., and the trip takes about two and a half hours.
From Rome, you need to catch the train at Rome Termini station for Roccasecca, then shift for Sora. Make sure to check the train schedule for Sora before you leave Rome so you do not get stuck in Roccasecca. If you plan to arrive in Sora in the late afternoon, it is recommended that you take the bus.
From Naples, you need to catch a train to Cassino or Roccasecca and then you can either catch a bus or a train to Sora, depending on the time. Be sure to check the train schedule in Naples so you do not get stuck in Cassino or Roccasecca.
From Pescara, you will need to catch a train to Avezzano. You may have to switch trains in Sulmona depending on the time schedule. From Avezzano, you can catch a train to Sora.
