Ischia is an exquisite and peaceful island hideaway surrounded by the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. As your boat carries you across the Bay of Naples, you will enter a magical kingdom of glorious sunshine, fine food, and of health and wellness spas. The volcanic landscape of Ischia is truly magical, there are rocky coves, amazing spas, and beautiful gardens. Ischia is definitely a wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate yourself.
It is situated along the western coast of Ischia, Forio is the island's second largest town. Forio is famous for its picturesque town and is also home to the church, Chiesa del Soccorso which is one of the prettiest sights in Ischia-Especially at SUNSET.
Nearby are some of the most beautiful sandy beaches, Hiking trails, natural thermal hot springs, cafes, shops and also botanic gardens with stunning fauna and flora. Just a 30 minutes bus ride away from Forio is Ischia Ponte, home to the medieval Castello Aragonese.

All breakfast and dinner are included in the price of this retreat. The restaurant of La Casereccia is one of the highlights of the retreat. Enjoy tasting the real traditional Ischian recipes, passed down in a family tradition. They will spoil your senses and tastes with the freshest biological ingredients coming mostly straight from the gardens, for those who like can also enjoy some of the great local wine.
This stunning Island is truly romantic with a lot to offer such as cafes, restaurants, nature, exhibitions, shops, and all center that can be accessed by foot. The idyllic green island of Ischia is very lush and the volcanic ground gives this little paradise an amazing powerful Energy. The volcanic mud and thermal waters (which you will visit at Negombo Spa) is said to have healing properties. It was one of the first wellness and health areas in the world with a history of more than 2000 years.
The green island has so much to offer, botanical gardens, gorgeous thermal spas, beaches, ancient ruins, historical sites, endless views across the Bay of Naples, hikes or walks to and around Mount Epomeo, snorkel around the castle, and also yummy Italian food.
La Rondine is our recommendation. Full Boat tour around the island (enjoy a delicious lunch onboard an old sailing boat) and then enjoy numerous private stops to enjoy the blue water to snorkel and have fun. Also, other boat excursions include visits to explore the nearby islands of Capri and Procida.
There are also boat tours with Oceanomare Delphis, on this excursion you will be able to join scientists in the search for Dolphins and Sperm whales which frequent the area.
Explore Castello Aragonese, a medieval castle built on a rock near the island in 474 BC.
Go up the top of Monte Epomeo (789 meters high) to enjoy 360 degrees breath-taking views of the Ischia island and beyond. The hiking trails are well-marked and also free of charge. You can explore to your heart's content and be amazed by the beautiful scenery, fauna, and flora.
Ischia is famous for its natural hot springs, many of which bubble up right along the coast. In some areas, the seawater is hot, which is absolutely marvelous.
Shopping in the small Italian towns and taking a stroll down the idyllic streets is one way to enjoy your day. Sight-seeing with a Vespa (Italian typical motorbike) around the Island or by taking the local bus transport (leaves every 20 minutes throughout the day and stops in all towns) allows you to discover all the small towns on the Island- stopping to explore the villages where and when you want.
Ischia has many beautiful beaches, my personal favorite is Citara in Forio. It is a wonderful way to spend the day, relaxing, snorkeling, swimming and ofcourse getting a well-rounded Italian tan. Snorkel equipment and bicycle hire are available for rent.
Many thermal parks present on the island. Of which one, Negombo is included in the price for the retreat package.
Wine tasting at Casa Dambra, the islands oldest vineyard.
We recommend ANS diving Ischia, and we can help organize the excursion for you. The Island offers an unforgettable experience for all levels of Divers. With its colorful reefs, Ischia offers a unique diving experience for all.
