Step out of your comfort zone, bathe in nature, and connect to your inner knowing to get clear and focused on what you want in life. Spend five days hiking and four nights camping in the back-country of Colorado State Forest State Park, near the small town of Walden. You'll admire great views of the Medicine Bow Mountains and explore three unique alpine lakes: Jewel Lake, Kelly Lake, and Clear Lake. Covering nearly 30 miles of trail, this loop will challenge and amaze you as you wander through the Colorado wilderness.

  • 08:00 Travel to State Forest State Park trailhead

  • 10:00 Set daily intentions and begin hiking
  • 15:00 Arrive at the camp and set up the camp

Day 5

How much backpacking experience should you have?

Beginner backpackers are welcome! Intentional Adventures encourages guests to have some hiking experience, at least in the weeks prior to your trek.​

How much yoga experience should you have?

Beginner yogis are welcome! Intentional Adventures recommends guests to integrate daily-ish yoga into your pre-trek training routine.

What happens if you get hurt?

​Every situation is different, the guide is trained and certified as a Wilderness First Responder and will make evacuation or treatment decisions based on the circumstance. Safety is first always the priority and Intentional Adventures takes measures to reduce risk, when possible.

You'll be hiking in State Forest State Park, a hidden gem in northern Colorado, a beautiful two-hour drive from Fort Collins.

Food

All trail food is provided. The menu is generally clean and any food allergy or preference can be accommodated. You will enjoy energizing breakfasts, nutritious snacks, and healthy dinners to fuel your adventure.
