This retreat will be a whole connection to yoga, the nature, and energy of the great Himalaya region and the connection to village people of a different culture while meeting others on an inspired journey to really deepen their inner emotional connection and adventurous soul. The Integrative Wellness Yoga team will greet you in either Kathmandu or Pokhara to help you with your orientation and your journey into the alluring mountains while taking time out for yourself will commence.
All accommodation on the trek is local Nepali teahouse style accommodation. These tea houses are an iconic institution of Nepal trekking full of characters and thriving local culture. The rooms are usually either twin share or dorm style with a common lounge area. If the weather is slightly chilly in the evening, the fire will be lit (after the wood has been gathered by the hard-working local village ladies). There are little local shops along the way in each village if you want to purchase anything like toiletries and other things or maybe you want to buy a local yak wool shawl or handcrafted jewelry.

Integrative Wellness Yoga's trekking experiences leaving from Pokhara take the team trekking through the breathtaking Annapurna Himalaya regions, where the team will have spectacular and life-long memorable views of the Himalaya’s, lakes, rivers, and wildlife.
You will go through local Nepali forest and villages with many beautiful valleys while connecting your emotions with the energy of these great mountains each day with the yoga practice and mindful connection to wellness. Integrative Wellness Yoga aims to take your experience to not only begin or deepen your yoga practice but also really enjoy each day of the trek and learning about the culture of each region along with your journey. You will meet many Nepali local village people who will be eager to share their lives with you.
On arrival, you will be given a detailed daily program that will be suitable for the level of the group and on the first and last day, you will require some transport by jeep to get to your starting and finishing points to get you going. The style of yoga practice each day will vary from the group and the group needs from a deep Ashtanga stretch to a gentle Hatha joint movement session with a one to one-and-a-half-hour duration. You will walk approximately three to five hours per day on the trek and Integrative Wellness Yoga has mixed it up with a light or a hard day’s trekking terrain. You will stop for breaks to rest and have snacks.
At sunset, you will take the time to breathe and meditate, taking in the amazing mountain air and energy, followed by a 45-minute wellness workshop session to give you to the tools for your inner journey and barriers to change in your life, after an evening meal. Then you will have free time to relax and chat with other travelers, retire to bed if you are tired, simply read a book, or maybe you would like to mingle with the local, friendly village people.
This retreat will take place in Annapurna ranges of the Himalayas, to Lake Tilicho (maximum altitude 4,920 meters). Tilicho Lake is a lake located in the Manang district of Nepal. It is situated at an altitude of 4,919 meters in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas and is known as the highest lake for its size in the world even though there are lakes at higher altitude even in Nepal. Another source lists the altitude of Lake Tilicho as being 4,949 meters.
All food is provided on the trek for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with vegan options. All food is made from the local seasonal produce that is available in that village climate and region. Please advise Integrative Wellness Yoga if you have any specific dietary requirements. The tea house food is usually served with milk tea after each meal (it's a Nepali thing), however, there are usually other herbal teas and coffee available.
Although the menu is usually not too varied (due to the availability of produce in some regions), it is very delicious and tasty. The typical meal of choice for the Nepali culture is Daal Baht (rice, green vegetables, potato, and chicken) and the flavors vary from house to house, depending on the cook and it is usually all you can eat, perfect for after a day's long trek with yoga.
Most of the food is prepared in hand made wood ovens and stoves and some tea houses may even let you in the kitchen to look at the local way of life and preparing food. You may also bring along two vegan-friendly snacks with you to have per day to keep you sustained.
You are recommended either drinking bottled water or bringing water treatment tablets along for safe drinking water and also recommended bringing along your own bottle for refilling and saving on the plastic impacts to the local environment
At the end of the trek, a one-hour trekkers massage treatment is included in your package to relieve your tired body and calm the mind. There are other services available at Nectar Spa and a full menu is available upon request.
Most countries (please check when booking your ticket) can get a visa on arrival in Nepal for either 30 days or 90 days. From Kathmandu, you can either take a 30-minute flight for between 75 - 100 USD to Pokhara. This flight goes directly across the Himalayas and is a super cheap version of the scenic tour flights around. If you would like to take the scenic route through some amazing mountain ranges and rivers, you can take a tourist bus for around 6 - 10 USD and this trip takes around 6 hours due to the terrain.
