We returned to the Inn for a special yoga weekend, and it was as perfect as I remember - possibly even better as Elizabeth and Jay remembered us from our last visit, making the return even warmer. We stayed in a different room, which had the same charm and elegance of the previous room with Persian carpets in the bedroom and bathroom, yummy linens on the bed, and a soothing color palette.
Friends joined us for the special yoga weekend, which consisted of small classes in the Inn's refurbished barn on Friday evening, Saturday morning & evening, and Sunday morning. There is nothing quite like engaging in yoga surrounded by beautiful fields and trees. The teacher was phenomenal, easily adjusting the class for the various levels and gently encouraging us. I most highly recommend a stay at the Inn, but particularly during its next yoga event. The combination of the Inn's peaceful atmosphere and yoga make for a supremely restful getaway.

My wife booked a room here for a yoga weekend and I didn't know what to expect. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised with the interior of the B&B, which is very inviting and warm. Our room, at the back of the house, had a queen bed with plenty of space and two armchairs, as well as its own bathroom. This B&B is not comparable to any of the ones I am use to. There is a great attention to details. From the choice of the bed linen to the Persian carpets in the bedroom and bathroom, this place makes you feel like you never left home. The owners are great to talk to; they are very nice and helpful. They recommended different places to visit and dine at around the area. My wife and I are already planning our next trip here.

This was our second time at the Inn at Westwood Farm. We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts over the years and ask ourselves would we go back to that one again? Well, this one called us back and it was just as wonderful the second time around. This inn is relaxing, comfortable, so clean, and conveniently located to surrounding areas. Elizabeth and Jay are a gracious and delightful couple and welcome you warmly. There is much attention to detail here and fresh flowers throughout. The breakfast is always fantastic with fresh eggs from their chickens. We are so glad Elizabeth and Jay are willing to share their beautiful place with all. You will not be disappointed staying at this one and it will call you back again and again.

My mom and I stayed here for a weekend of touring Monticello, Montpelier, and Ashlawn-Highland. It was the perfect location to see the historical sites and check-out Charlottesville, but also provided a relaxing retreat. The house is beautiful, all the rooms are tastefully decorated, and everything is kept "just so" to ensure a great stay. Elizabeth and Jay are warm and friendly hosts who will make sure you enjoy your stay. Orange is also a cute little town with wonderful dining options. I definitely plan on coming back!

When I called Elizabeth to book the weekend three months prior, I had a feeling that it was going to be a great trip. Her warmth, friendliness, and willingness to help were top notch. On this first call, she set up my girlfriend and I with passes to wineries and Montpelier and made dinner reservations for us.
We arrived around noon on Saturday and as soon as we arrived, Elizabeth had a picnic basket waiting for us, gave us the passes to the wineries and Montpelier and recommendations for our afternoon. We then embarked on a wonderful afternoon in the area with no destination being more than 20 to 25 minutes away. Our favorite winery was Early Mountain and we can't wait to return when there's warm weather so we can sit outside.
The room was so cute, detail-oriented, clean, and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable and soft (down really helped with that) and we slept like babies. The robes and slippers were a great touch and we both loved the bathroom decor.
Breakfast in the morning was fantastic and Jay and Elizabeth sent us on our way around 11-12. It was a magical weekend and we can't wait to return!

We stayed at the Inn at Westwood Farm over the holiday weekend and had a wonderful experience. Elizabeth was extremely helpful in choosing which room to book and providing guidance on restaurants in Orange and Charlottesville. We chose the two-night romantic getaway package, and they had our picnic waiting to take on our wine tour when we arrived and made our dinner reservations for that evening. Everything was very easy. The inn itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. Our room and bathroom were lovely and relaxing, and the food was all delicious - they were also extremely accommodating of my gluten allergy. We will definitely be back - highly recommending a stay here!

We were married at the Inn at Westwood Farm in 2010 and have returned many times since. On our most recent trip, we decided to renew our wedding vows. Elizabeth and Jay were fantastic hosts (as always) and made our day really special with a number of little touches including customized vows courtesy of the "Reverend Jay," a lovely mini bouquet, and helping us to recreate some of our more memorable wedding photos around the Farm. Read any of the other reviews about Westwood on this site (including ours from 2010) and you'll see why you should visit. Great place to stay, wonderful hosts, delicious breakfasts, lots to do in the surrounding area. We'll definitely be back!

I cannot rate this place highly enough; 10 stars would not communicate how wonderful this place is. If you're looking for a wedding venue or just a place to stay, you cannot do better than here. The grounds are lovely, and the owners are fantastic. Not only were they perfect hosts, but they coordinated with the caterers, bar, and band so well that they made the entire wedding run smoothly. And as if that wasn't enough, they are excellent cooks (try the eggs Westwood)! It made my best friend's wedding absolutely magical. Stop looking at other places. Go here now!
We had our wedding at the Inn at Westwood and it was a fantastic experience. Elizabeth and Jay were great to work with, the property is beautiful and their connection to the community made vendor coordination easier.
The inn is beautifully updated and maintained. The beds and linens are extremely comfortable and the breakfast couldn't be better.
I highly recommend this as a destination to unwind and enjoy the town of Orange, take advantage of the outdoor activities, wineries, and the historical stops. If you don't know what you want to do or where to go, Elizabeth and Jay will point you in the right direction. We will absolutely be back!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at the Westwood Inn! We were on a family vacation with our two daughters (ages 13 and eight) visiting Monticello, Montpelier, and Mount Vernon and picked this inn because of the great reviews and the proximity to the mansions.
Elizabeth and Jay (the innkeepers) are lovely people and great hosts. The inn was very clean and nicely furnished. There were beautifully arranged fresh-cut flowers in every room, fragrant soaps and lotions in the bathrooms, and bathrobes and slippers in the closets. The rooms were bright and comfortable. The front and back porches are picturesque places to sit and enjoy a book. The back garden is especially quaint.
My daughters enjoyed spending time in the evening in the TV room or going to the library to read and enjoy the complimentary beverages. Upon waking up in the mornings, coffee would be waiting for us outside our room. The breakfasts were excellent and characterized by farm-to-table ingredients.
Our daughters fell in love with the owners' sweet-natured beagle, Porter. Our youngest could not wait to return to the inn every evening so that she could grab a handful of horse-treats from the kitchen and run out the back door, with Porter in tow, to feed the neighbor's horses, donkey, and llamas. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Impressive place! If you want to stay at a place where you get lost in the tranquility of Orange, Virginia, search no further. Everything about this place is perfection! The owners are gracious hosts and make your stay feel special. The only regret I have is that I was only there for two days and had to rush way every day I was there (wedding). If you want unique, storybook day in Orange, this is it! Thank you Elizabeth and Jay.

My wife and I spent a few days at the Inn while exploring the wineries, breweries and little towns around the area. Innkeepers Elizabeth and Jay were wonderful - they obviously take pride in their cozy place, as the inn and grounds are kept so nicely. The little details matter - fresh flowers around the house, coffee and drinks available on the landing and in the hallway, delicious breakfast made from local ingredients, and lots of materials and tips for what to see around the area (including a free wine tasting or two). Would highly recommend the Inn at Westwood Farm to all who want a great inn experience.

How can a single review possibly convey the many exquisite details that went into making our weekend at the Inn at Westwood Farm absolutely lovely? Of course the inn is beautifully appointed, but the attention to each and every detail is what makes it exceptional. There is elegance and warmth everywhere you look, without a hint of pretension. I even took pictures of the kitchen because it was so lovely with baskets of fresh tomatoes and sunflowers from the garden at the sink. There were beautiful fresh flowers in every room. I really had the sense that the owners had thought of everything it might take to make a person (or even me personally) comfortable.
The toiletries were organic, beautifully fragrant, and especially made for the inn. There were copious amounts of towels in the bathroom so one didn’t have to ask for more. Morning coffee (with soy milk if you’re dairy free and let them know!) is outside your door by 07:00. Bottled water is available all the time should you need some for a road trip. Breakfast is a scrumptious and beautifully-presented culinary adventure. The weather cooperated, so we were able to eat outside while enjoying the magnificent views. The table linens were lovely. There were multiple fresh juice options offered. The toast was the first and only decent gluten-free toast I’ve found, and it was served with house-made fig preserves. The food itself made us truly sorry were couldn’t eat all of our meals at the inn. Delicious!
Usually, even when we have a positive experience, there are little things I see that could be improved. In this case, there really weren’t any. It felt as if someone who knew me well had visited in advance and whispered in the innkeepers’ ear to make sure everything was just to my taste. Perhaps as important, Elizabeth and Jay were knowledgeable about the area and able to give us dining and activity recommendations to suit our preferences. The whole experience was lovely from top to bottom. We felt as welcome as we would visiting family, and enjoyed social interactions with the innkeepers, who would engage as much as guests desired but also pick up on cues when one needed space. We left thinking we must come back at least once a year from now on. We were at the inn for only two nights but we felt so refreshed that it was as if we had been away from the hustle and bustle of DC for a week!
At the time we stayed with Elizabeth and Jay, it was only our second stay at a bed and breakfast. Our first (and since then, our third) experiences were with inns included in the select registry, which proclaims itself as a guidebook for exceptional lodging. If so, they’re lacking a critical entry, as the Inn at Westwood Farm was far and away a more positive experience for us than our most recent select registry bed and breakfast stay! We recommend the Inn at Westwood Farm wholeheartedly. You will have a fabulous time, and your taste buds will thank you too (even if you have food sensitivities)!

We chose The Inn at Westwood Farm to hold a combined anniversary and birthday party weekend for our parents and over 100 guests. Elizabeth and Jay are fantastic and helped us with every detail. The party was fabulous and everyone had a great time thanks to the great innkeepers at Westwood!

Very nice bed and breakfast, with much attention to detail! Quiet, with as much privacy as you wish to have. The owner is very nice and social, but respects your space.
Rooms are nice and clean with welcoming flower arrangements from the grounds. Beautiful landscape! With flower, vegetable and herb garden on the premises.
Breakfast is healthy and out of this world tasty! It's made from scratch by the owner with all locally grown ingredients. Eggs are fresh from the farm every morning. Very relaxing and tranquil location! Definitely coming back!

We visited the Inn at Westwood in late May for their annual yoga retreat weekend. This was the second time we have stayed at the Inn and it was an absolute delight yet again. Sheer luxury, beautifully calm environment, wonderful food, we just cannot fault this place. The addition of yoga classes over the weekend was the icing on the cake for a perfect weekend away with friends. Thank you so much to Elizabeth and Jay for the warm and friendly welcome, we'll be back!
