This Yoga Alliance Certified 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training is a harmonious blend of two ancient sciences of health yoga and Ayurveda. It is a result of a partnership between inHarmony Yoga and AyurYoga Institute and is taught in both Spain and India. Students are prepared to not only teach classical yoga based on Hatha, Kriya and Tantra yoga styles in group settings but also to use yoga as medicine and therapy in one-on-one and small group sessions. In this course, you will learn how to apply yoga in an intelligent and tailored way prescribing specific breathing practices, asanas, meditation and relaxation techniques to your clients based on their physiology, age, physical condition, goals and needs, and their unique Constitution or Ayurvedic Dosha. Applying yoga in this manner, you become a yoga doctor, yoga psychologist and a yoga designer.
You will be staying in a cozy and comfortable house or villa in a beautiful green and quiet urbanization by the sea with lush gardens and a swimming pool. Accommodation in an individual or shared rooms with bathrooms are available.
In this Yoga Teacher Training, Anatomy and Physiology learning plays an important role in order to practice and teach yoga in an intelligent and safe way. This yoga approach is suitable for people of all types - with physical limitations and dis-harmonies, elderly people, people suffering from a busy mind, burnout, digestive problems, people with arthritis in the joints, back problems, and people with different Ayurvedic constitutions (Doshas).
Principles and importance of alignment
Basic asanas: Tadasana, Adho Mukha Svanasana;
Neutral standing asanas and standing asanas with external rotation: Virabhadrasana II, Utthita Parsvakonasana, Utthita Trikonasana, Vrkasana, Virabhadrasana III, Ardha Chandrasana, Utthita hasta Padangusthasana, Garudasana.
Forward bending asanas: Uttanasana, Parsvottanasana, Prasarita Padottanasana, Upavista Konasana, Dandasana, Navasana, Pashimottanasana, Adho Mukha Virasana, Pavanmuktasana
Seated asanas with external rotation: Janu Sirshasana, Baddha Konasana, Gomukhasana, Brahmasana, Siddhasana, Padmasana.
Asanas with backward extension: Alanasana, Virabhadrasana I, Utkatasana, Bhujangasana, Salambasana, Setu Banda Sarvangasana, Urdhva Mukha Svanasana, Purvottanasana, Dhanurasana.

Every asana will be examined through these aspects: Alignment points; most common errors; possible variations that simplify or intensify the asana; physical benefits; contraindications; effects on the mind and spirit; effects on the chakras; effects on the doshas.
Explanations will be given on the internal logic of the positions and possible variations will be explained (how to modify or substitute the asana while leaving its structure intact).
During the 200 hours of the teacher training program organized by our school, Pranayama plays an important role.
The concept of Prana is explained by describing the five main types of Prana (Prana, Apana, Vyana, Samana, Udana), and what Pranayama, the bandhas, and the breath cycle.

The 5 main types: Prana, Apana, Vyana, Samana, Udana - Pranayama - Bandhas - the breath cycle. After an initial practical approach where the teacher will lead the participants to practice some simple Pranayama techniques studied, explained, practiced are Nadi Sodhana, Ujjayi, Bhastrika. You will be well prepared to teach these techniques others in a simple and effective way.
You will look at the practice of meditation, its meaning, and the effects of meditation techniques as seen from scientific and physiologic perspectives. You will practice and learn to teach meditation techniques utilizing breath, mantra, concentration on the chakras and the principal Nadis (Ida, Pingala, Shushumna). The majority of the meditation techniques that will be taught in this course have their origin in Tantra, Kriya and Raja Yoga..

Ayurvedic nutrition basics
In the course, you will study Anatomy and Physiology as it is related to Yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation and to overall health and well-being.
You will have understand the complex physiological processes of the human body behind different emotional states, movement, eating, and thinking.
Knowing the "behind the scenes" reactions and chemical and energetic processes, you will be able to teach yourself and others safe stretching and dynamic and static asanas, breathing techniques, successful meditation, healing with yoga, and prevention of possible injuries over body overuse. You will learn how the mind is connected to your digestion and the endocrine system, how your emotions influence your glands and the secretion of hormones, what stress has to do with your immunity and how yoga (santosha in particular) can increase your immune defense system. .

Principles of Ayurveda daily therapeutic and Ayurvedic yoga meditation, relaxation and breathing sessions, Philosophy, anatomy and methodology of yoga, some Ayurvedic cooking and the use of spices in daily life, tailored (adjusted to students goals and needs) instruction, very small groups in the teacher's home or a rented villa, home-made healthy meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), Ashram style living (cooking and cleaning together), 16 nights accommodation (shared or private rooms), beach within walking distance and garden like settings with a pool.
Depending on the schedule, you will usually go on a trip to Estepona or Marbella old town and eat fresh fish in the local beach restaurants (chiringuito).
The training is located in the beautiful Mediterranean Andalucia. In Spain, the training will be conducted in a cozy atmosphere of a comfortable villa with a patio and pool within 5 minutes from the beach. When the weather is good (most of the time) yoga or meditation is done in the garden or on the beach. Enjoy the vacation life environment, nice climate and beautiful surroundings. This course is also offered in India once a year.
Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in the price. Vegetarian (with fresh cheese, eggs, and yogurt) and predominantly organic and local quality food.
It is best to go to Malaga airport and take a bus (www.avanzabus.com) to your destination Estepona. It takes 1 to 1.5 hours by bus and costs approximately 8 EUR. The guests will picked up in Estepona or San Pedro de Alcantara.
