During this training, you will stay in a beautiful resort-like seaside urbanization with lush gardens and five swimming pools (one heated). The home is large and spacious, full of light with relaxing views of mature gardens, pine trees, and flower gardens.

A large double bedroom with two single beds and in-suite large marble bathrooms. The private rooms will be available for an extra charge.

The living arrangements are similar to that of an Ashram where we prepare breakfast and clean common spaces together (Karma yoga). inHarmony.Yoga can also help you find economic accommodation outside if you would like to live by yourself.


This 200-hour yoga teacher training meets the standards of Yoga Alliance, it is a harmonious blend of two ancient sciences of health yoga and Ayurveda. It is a result of a partnership between inHarmony Yoga and AyurYoga Institute and is taught in both Spain and India. Students are prepared to not only teach classical yoga based on Hatha, Kriya, and Tantra yoga styles in group settings but also to use yoga as medicine and therapy in one-on-one and small group sessions.

In this yoga teacher training, Anatomy and Physiology learning plays an important role in order to practice and teach yoga in an intelligent and safe way. Also, the training has a tailored instruction which means it is adjusted to the students' goals and needs.

This yoga approach is suitable for people of all types - with physical limitations and dis-harmonies, elderly people, people suffering from a busy mind, burnout, digestive problems, people with arthritis in the joints, back problems, and people with different Ayurvedic constitutions (Doshas).

Every asana will be examined through these aspects: Alignment points, most common errors, possible variations that simplify or intensify the asana, physical benefits, contraindications, effects on the mind and spirit, effects on the chakras, and effects on the doshas.

Explanations will be given on the internal logic of the positions and possible variations will be explained (how to modify or substitute the asana while leaving its structure intact).


During the 200 hours of the teacher training program organized by our school, pranayama plays an important role. The concept of Prana is explained by describing the five main types of Prana (Prana, Apana, Vyana, Samana, Udana), and what Pranayama, the bandhas, and the breath cycle are.

As for the asanas, pranayama techniques will be explained by studying:

  • Effects on the doshas

The 5 main types: Prana, Apana, Vyana, Samana, Udana - Pranayama - Bandhas - the breath cycle. After an initial practical approach where the teacher will lead the participants to practice some simple pranayama techniques studied, explained, practiced are Nadi Sodhana, Ujjayi, Bhastrika. You will be well prepared to teach these techniques to others in a simple and effective way.

Dharana (Meditation techniques)

You will look at the practice of meditation, along with the meaning and the effects of meditation techniques as seen from scientific and physiologic perspectives. You will practice and learn to teach meditation techniques utilizing breath, mantra, concentration on the chakras and the principal Nadis (Ida, Pingala, Shushumna). The majority of the meditation techniques that will be taught in this course have their origin in Tantra, Kriya, and Raja yoga.

In the course, you will study Anatomy and Physiology as it is related to Yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation and overall health and well-being. You will have understood the complex physiological processes of the human body behind different emotional states, movement, eating, and thinking.

Knowing the "behind the scenes" reactions and chemical and energetic processes, you will be able to teach yourself and others safe stretching and dynamic and static asanas, breathing techniques, successful meditation, healing with yoga, and prevention of possible injuries over body overuse.

You will learn how the mind is connected to your digestion and the endocrine system, how your emotions influence your glands and the secretion of hormones, what stress has to do with your immunity and how yoga (santosha in particular) can increase your immune defense system.

Included excursions

This training includes two exciting trips to the old town of Estepona and the mountains of the oldest white village of Casares with stunning views of Sierra Bermeja and the sea.

Retreat location

The training is located in the beautiful Mediterranean Andalucia in Estepona, Malaga, Spain. It is a place where people from all over the world come to vacation. It will take place in a cozy atmosphere of a comfortable villa with large terraces and several pools in park-like settings for a 3-minute walk to the beach.

When the weather is good, most of the time, inHarmony.Yoga will take the studies outside of the garden or the beach. In this location, you will get to enjoy a vacation type environment, nice weather, and beautiful surroundings.


Healthy and whole daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided during the training. Vegetarian food will consist of large quantities of various vegetables sautéed and raw, whole grains, seeds and nuts. A small quality of fresh cheese, eggs, and yogurt is also served. We use fresh, local and organic if possible ingredients. Special dietary needs may be catered to, please let inHarmony.Yoga know beforehand.

Arrival by bus

Please take a bus to your destination, Estepona. It takes from one to one and a half hours to get there by bus. It costs approximately 10 EUR. There are direct, semi-direct, and normal buses. From the bus stop in Estepona or San Pedro de Alcantara, just take a taxi to the training place. The fee per ride is from 10 to 15 EUR.
