During this training, you will stay in large and comfortable shared rooms with fantastic bathrooms in a cozy and comfortable house or villa in a beautiful green and quiet urbanization by the sea with lush gardens and a swimming pool. Private rooms will be available for an extra cost. When sharing room, two people will share the same bathroom. The focus of the living arrangements will be those of an Ashram living style, meaning everyone cleans together.

inHarmony Ayurveda and Yoga Teacher Training Spain Program

This Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour yoga teacher training is a harmonious blend of two ancient sciences of health yoga and Ayurveda. It is a result of a partnership between inHarmony Yoga and AyurYoga Institute and is taught in both Spain and India. Students are prepared to not only teach classical yoga based on Hatha, Kriya and Tantra yoga styles in group settings but also to use yoga as medicine and therapy in one-on-one and small group sessions.

In this yoga teacher training, Anatomy and Physiology learning plays an important role in order to practice and teach yoga in an intelligent and safe way. Also, the training has a tailored instruction which means it's adjusted to the students goals and nees.

This yoga approach is suitable for people of all types - with physical limitations and dis-harmonies, elderly people, people suffering from a busy mind, burnout, digestive problems, people with arthritis in the joints, back problems, and people with different Ayurvedic constitutions (Doshas).


Principles and importance of alignment

Basic asanas: Tadasana, Adho Mukha Svanasana;

Neutral standing asanas and standing asanas with external rotation: Virabhadrasana II, Utthita Parsvakonasana, Utthita Trikonasana, Vrkasana, Virabhadrasana III, Ardha Chandrasana, Utthita hasta Padangusthasana, Garudasana.

Forward bending asanas: Uttanasana, Parsvottanasana, Prasarita Padottanasana, Upavista Konasana, Dandasana, Navasana, Pashimottanasana, Adho Mukha Virasana, Pavanmuktasana

Seated asanas with external rotation: Janu Sirshasana, Baddha Konasana, Gomukhasana, Brahmasana, Siddhasana, Padmasana.

Asanas with backward extension: Alanasana, Virabhadrasana I, Utkatasana, Bhujangasana, Salambasana, Setu Banda Sarvangasana, Urdhva Mukha Svanasana, Purvottanasana, Dhanurasana.

  • Asanas executed in Vinyasa: Marjariasana, Ardha Chatarnga Dandasana, Chataranga Dandasana, different versions of Surya Namaskar;
  • Inverted asanas: Viparita Karani mudra, Sirshasana , Sarvangasana, Halasana;
  • Laying-down and twisting asanas: Parivritta Parsvakonasana, Jathara Parivartanasana, Parivritta trikonasana, Parivritta Ardha *Chandrasana, Ardha Mtsyendrasana, Savasana.

Every asana will be examined through these aspects: Alignment points; most common errors; possible variations that simplify or intensify the asana; physical benefits; contraindications; effects on the mind and spirit; effects on the chakras; effects on the doshas.

Explanations will be given on the internal logic of the positions and possible variations will be explained (how to modify or substitute the asana while leaving its structure intact).


During the 200 hours of the teacher training program organized by our school, pranayama plays an important role. The concept of Prana is explained by describing the five main types of Prana (Prana, Apana, Vyana, Samana, Udana), and what Pranayama, the bandhas, and the breath cycle are.

As for the asanas, pranayama techniques will be explained by studying:

  • Various approaches and teaching methods
  • Physical benefits
  • Contraindications
  • Effects of the mind and the spirit
  • Effects on the chakras
  • Effects on the doshas

The 5 main types: Prana, Apana, Vyana, Samana, Udana - Pranayama - Bandhas - the breath cycle. After an initial practical approach where the teacher will lead the participants to practice some simple pranayama techniques studied, explained, practiced are Nadi Sodhana, Ujjayi, Bhastrika. You will be well prepared to teach these techniques others in a simple and effective way.

Dharana (Meditation techniques)

You will look at the practice of meditation, its meaning, and the effects of meditation techniques as seen from scientific and physiologic perspectives. You will practice and learn to teach meditation techniques utilizing breath, mantra, concentration on the chakras and the principal Nadis (Ida, Pingala, Shushumna). The majority of the meditation techniques that will be taught in this course have their origin in Tantra, Kriya and Raja Yoga.

Mantra as the power of sound and shape, their meaning and how they effect the subtle energy; Mantras: How they work; how they are to be used. How they influence karma.

Subtle physiology

  • The three bodies (sharira).

In the course, you will study Anatomy and Physiology as it is related to Yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation and to overall health and well-being. You will have understood the complex physiological processes of the human body behind different emotional states, movement, eating, and thinking.

Knowing the "behind the scenes" reactions and chemical and energetic processes, you will be able to teach yourself and others safe stretching and dynamic and static asanas, breathing techniques, successful meditation, healing with yoga, and prevention of possible injuries over body overuse.

You will learn how the mind is connected to your digestion and the endocrine system, how your emotions influence your glands and the secretion of hormones, what stress has to do with your immunity and how yoga (santosha in particular) can increase your immune defense system.

As founder of inHarmony.Yoga, Antonina's goal is to inspire people around the world to live their healthiest lives by making informed choices based on the intimate knowledge of their minds, bodies, and the environment. The training is located in the beautiful Mediterranean Andalucia. In Spain, the training will be conducted in a cozy atmosphere of a comfortable villa with a patio and pool, three minutes walking to the beach. When the weather is good, which is most of the time, yoga or meditation will be conducted in the garden or on the beach. In this location, you will enjoy the vacation life environment, a nice climate, and beautiful surroundings. This course is also offered in India once a year.


A healthy and whole daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in this training. Vegetarian food will be served such as lots of vegetables with some fresh cheese, eggs, and yogurt. The products used will be mostly organic and with local quality. Special dietary needs may be catered, please let inHarmony.Yoga know beforehand.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Málaga Airport (AGP).

Arrival by bus

Please take a bus to your destination, Estepona. It takes from one to one and a half hours to get there by bus. It costs approximately 10 EUR. There are direct, semi-direct, and normal buses. From the bus stop in Estepona or San Pedro de Alcantara, just take a taxi to the training place. The fee per ride is from 10 to 15 EUR.
