The accommodation will be at the Villa Sonnwend National Park Lodge. The rooms in the villa are furnished with bright wooden furniture and are equipped with shower, hairdryer, and a television set.

The 200-hour yoga teacher training in Austria is a 4-week course recognized by Yoga Alliance and has RYS certification with E-RYP faculty. The “Be Better Yoga” specialized 200-hour teacher certificate course is a Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour level I certification. This course is an excellent opportunity to learn more fundamentals and traditional yoga.

The 200-hour yoga teacher training courses (bookings open already also for 200-hour yoga course 2017) offers an in-depth study of all kinds of techniques like asana (posture), pranayama (breathing practices), meditation, yoga philosophy, yoga anatomy, sequencing, and adjustments, developing a meditation practice for yourself and others as well as expand your knowledge of becoming a perfect yoga teacher in the near future.

The 200-hour yoga certification schedule is strictly based on yogic principles. The training starts with a morning practice at early sunrise. It is the best time of the day to experience the power of asana, pranayama, and sadhana or meditation. There is a short break for breakfast and a healthy food is served for you to get well-nourished for rest of the day. The schedule follows with a lecture and some yoga practice. Lunch is served during the mid-day time with yogic foods. There are a meditation and chanting class in the afternoon. A dinner and thereof rest and relax for the next morning.

Although they abide by traditional style of teaching yoga, they still have incorporated Sivananda, Pattabi Jois, and BKS Iyengar style into their teachings. They are highly influenced by BKS Iyengar, so props are included and will be used in the asana practices to ensure correct alignment and posture. Except for asana perfection using the props, their accent is on the focus of the mind and regulation of breath.

Every asana is utilized as tools so as to guide you gain your usual meditative state. It will help focus your mind in more evocative ways which can deepen your practices. If your goal is to be a yoga instructor, you will become very sure with sequencing, guiding principles of breath movement, and focusing and complete knowledge of eight limbs of yoga as offered by Maharishi Patanjali through their philosophical class and different kinds of meditative sessions. They consider the practices of Ayurvedic living to be very important and so they must be combined together with yoga to accolade the advantages of yoga. They also have incorporated lots of teachings on the science of Ayurveda.

This yoga teacher training course is designed for those people who want to deepen their present yoga practices, aspiring teachers, and advanced students of all ages. Besides those, it will also have bhajans and music at the time of satsang and other inventive self-healing sessions. The initial goal of this course is to develop “you” as a perfect and learned yoga teacher who can then develop and spread yoga to the world.

The personal work of yoga practice is the best way to prepare to teach yoga classes, but the team will also look more deeply into methods of teaching. During the course, you will practice the different aspects of yoga teaching with each other, which will include planning and teaching classes and sequences, using props and aids, and be helping students to modify poses so that they can get the most out of the practices. Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded the Yoga Alliance certification.

  • 8 limbs of yoga from Patanjali (10 sutras of 1st chapter of Patanjali yoga sutra will be discussed elaborately)
  • Advanced asana techniques of Patanjali and Ashtanga yoga

  • Anatomy and physiology in relation to yoga: prevention of illness and etc.
  • Ayurveda: specific food, the different dohas etc.
  • Bandhas (energy locks)
  • Bhakti yoga: bhajans, satsang, and kirtan
  • Chakra systems (energy centers)
  • Different orientations and teachers of yoga
  • Hands on yoga: concrete and individual alignments for teaching, sequencing, adjustments, and alignment teaching skill
  • Human anatomy: skeletal, muscles, respiratory, digestive, nervous, and hormone system
  • Mudras (yogic gestures of the Hatha yoga pradipika)
  • Pranayama - different breathing techniques (nadi shodhan, surya bhedana, chandra bhedana, sheetali shitkari, and kapalabhati) shat karma, noulli-neti dhouthi-tratka - kapalabhati-shankhaprakshalana meditation (chakra meditation, kundalini meditation, guided Vedic meditation, and other dynamic meditations)

    Kerstin Linnartz is from Berlin, Germany. She has been practicing yoga for the past 19 years. In the many years of her own practice, she collected lots of inspiration from numerous teachers at yoga ashrams and centers in the USA, Europe, and of course, India. Thus, her teaching combines different elements from the system of yoga from classical Hatha to more dynamic Ashtanga and she emphasizes on not only focusing on the body and to not narrow down the teaching to its mere form.

    Shri Akhilesh Bodhi is a professional yoga instructor, Reiki master, and spiritual mentor. Akhilesh has deep understanding and extensive knowledge of yoga practice which spans decades and developed his own inclusive method of yoga. Fusion of Ashtanga Vinyasa, Hatha yoga and Raj yoga presents a holistic technique suited to the people across the world.

The Upper Austria combines beautiful medieval towns and impressive limestone formations at the Kalkalpen National Park with technology and modern design in Linz.
