This unique yoga holiday experience has been designed to deepen your yoga practice and help you relax, discovering one of the most beautiful Sicilian corners, the town of Taormina, in one of the most suggestive, romantic, and more enjoyable period of the year. Born in Sicily, IndaCo Yoga Sicily is a community project, which aims to encourage the sharing of experience and ideas through yoga, meditation, and holistic disciplines.
Taodomus is a small, elegant boutique hotel located in the center of Taormina. Stepping out of the hotel, you’ll find yourself in Corso Umberto I, right in the center of town. The strategic location of this elegant boutique hotel is ideal for exploring Taormina.
With only 10 elegant rooms, Taodomus is the perfect location for those seeking a refined and cozy surroundings. The charming panoramic terrace offers to their guests the possibility to enjoy the gorgeous view of Mount Etna and the sea, while having the exquisite brunch in the morning.
During the day, the terrace becomes a lounge area where you can relax, taking advantage of the complimentary Wi-Fi connection. In the evening, an “honesty bar” is available for the guests, who can enjoy a stunning panorama in a quiet oasis away from the crowd of the vibrant Taormina.
The 10 exclusive rooms have furnishings entirely handmade and decorated by hand, following old glazing, gilding, and marbleizing techniques. There is evident attention to details, including matching colors for both furniture and fittings, exclusive headboards, as well as the old wardrobe shutters, lending the rooms' an unrivaled elegance and charm. There are soft white linen curtains and pure cotton bedding.
All bathrooms have modern showers decorated with marble and mosaic. Most rooms have a beautiful balcony with table and chairs. There is a non-smoking policy adopted throughout the hotel including all bedrooms. During the four days, you will have the chance to enjoy one of the most beautiful towns in the world and its surrounding places. All yoga lessons will be multilevel, which means that from beginner to advanced practitioners can make the best out of the classes.
Every morning, your schedule will start with a Vinyasa Yoga style practice with an active and balanced combination of Yang yoga elements and mindfulness meditation. Afternoon lessons will be dedicated on the practice of Yin yoga. Yin yoga is deep and quiet. It relaxes the mind, and helps to balance the energy generated during the Yang practice. During the Yin practice, you will learn how to canalize the attention where you need to balance the energy flow. Yin yoga also enables a non-competitive approach towards yoga and the body. It creates more space between the joints by making them elastic, firmer, and stronger.
During your yoga holiday experience, you will have the opportunity to visit the highest active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna, a natural resource of rare beauty for Sicily, Italy, and the world. Its proximity to the sea makes it even more impressive and fascinating and annually attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the globe.
Olga Sturiale is a professional yoga teacher and founder of Indaco Yoga Sicily. She has been practicing yoga since 2008 and she is a certified teacher in Vinyasa and Yin yoga. On her yoga journey, she studied and qualified in various yoga styles in different countries. She is deeply interested in the insights of the practice of yin and yang yoga and moreover on Buddhist meditation.

You will be enjoying daily brunch during this retreat. Taodomus provides genuine brunch, served in the charming panoramic terrace. They offer you a large variety of sweet and savoury dishes carefully chosen: organic marmalade and juices, typical cold cut, homemade cakes, pastries and cookies, fresh fruits in season, coffees and cappucinos prepared in Italian traditional style, fresh daily bread, and much more. You can also order from their “author's menu”, which offers many other cold and hot dishes cooked on the spot by their staff, like the delicious crêpes or the eggs prepared in different ways.

Taormina, with its Dolce Vita, is not a final stop. On the contrary, it is the natural crossroad among many areas of unspoiled beauty like the Alcantara Valley, the Agrò Valley, the Nebrodi Mountains, and the famous Etna Volcano. It can be the first leg of a journey including nearby and hidden villages where to discover unimaginable places and try unexpected food.
Located just 20 kilometers from Taormina are the Alcantara Gorges, one of Italy’s most spectacular natural sights. They are deep incisions in volcanic rocks and cliffs, caused by the eruptions of Mount Etna. The entire Etna Park is renowned for its verdant slopes, abundant orchards, vineyards, dramatic lava flows, and tiny picturesque towns.
About three to five kilometers from Taormina is the charming village of Castelmola, from where with just one single glance, you can get a view of the town of Taormina, the Ionian coast, and Mount Etna.
Giardini Naxos is located just few kilometers from Taormina and is the first Greek colony in Sicily. Prior to the early 1970s, Giardini Naxos was a quiet fishing village. This was a center of Greek, Byzantine, and Judaic civilization.
Please book your flight to arrive at Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA). It is the closest airport to Taormina and the Hotel Taodomus. From the airport, take the S.A.I.S. bus or Etna Services bus to Taormina and get off at the last stop, the terminal on Via Pirandello. From here, IndaCo Yoga Sicily recommends you take a taxi, which reaches the hotel in only a few minutes.
