The yoga retreat is located in Basina, a beautiful bay situated in between Stari Grad and Jelsa, looking towards island Brac, which makes it ideal for island tours and boat trips. There are many secluded beaches in Basina and nearby bays, so you can explore and enjoy your privacy.
Maya house is a three-store house with 3 apartments, 2 terraces, 3 bathrooms and a rooftop. The house has a sea view and the sea is only seconds away. Additional accommodation is offered in a neighboring house, few meters from Maya house.
Practice of yoga twice daily to balance the body and mind. Fresh, delicious meals will be prepared by local chef. All food is vegetarian and optionally vegan as well. Balance of activity and rest is emphasized so you can make the most of your time spent on this retreat. With new insights into the wisdom of yoga, gain a deeper understanding of this ancient science.
The yoga approach integrates elements from the different paths of yoga, especially Hatha yoga and Ashtanga yoga, uniting the body, mind and breath in awareness. It is suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners. Morning sessions will be longer and more intense and will be based on Ashtanga yoga. Evening yoga sessions will be more calming and restorative with more emphasis on relaxation and meditation. Wisdom of yoga will be discussed in and out the yoga classes and as per group’s preference and will include Patanjali Yoga Sutras and more.
Unless visiting a nearby town, evening times are reserved for experience sharing or just silently reflecting on the day and resting. The peaceful atmosphere and low light pollution contributes to the clear sky ideal for stargazing - weather permitting.
The house is located nearby the sea. The place is ideal for swimming, sunbathing, beach walks, exploring the nature etc.

For your benefit, it is recommended to regularly attend all the yoga sessions. Customization in the program is possible, depending on the preference of the group.
You will enjoy tours to spectacular towns and beaches and neighboring island Brac - with its one-of-the kind famous beach Zlatni Rat.
Boat ride to nearby beaches. There are many smaller bays and beautiful sights around our retreat center, many of them are accessible only by boat.
An ancient town with a rich history on the island with the same name. Many people say of the town Hvar that it is from a fairy- tale because of its architecture, wonderful nature and its mild climate. Hvar is also very attractive for its luscious restaurants, boutiques, and a vibrant nightlife amidst its medieval streets.
Bol is situated on the southern part of the island Brac, 45 mins boat ride from the retreat centre. This little town was founded long ago and became an extraordinary tourist oasis because of the wide gravel and sandy beaches which expands over 10 kilometers. A 20 minute walk from Bol lies the beach Zlatni rat (Golden Horn) - one of the largest and most beautiful attractions of the Adriatic. This excursion is possible depending on the weather, in case of high waves, tourist boats do not sail across the canal between Hvar and Brac. On the day of the tour to Bol, yoga class in the morning and evening will be a little shorter the regular timings.
Stari Grad (literally Old Town) is one of the oldest towns in Europe. A walk through the center brings the whisperings of the past times. The town’s attraction grew in recent years with opening of some interesting and unique shops and art galleries.
Born and raised in Mumbai, India, she was introduced to yoga at the age of 8. She studied various Yoga disciplines, is a practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga and holds a bachelor's degree in Yogic Science. Teaching yoga since 2007, Ekta has traveled across India, inspiring many.
A Croatian who is a graphic designer by profession. Started his yoga journey in 2002. Conducts yoga workshops since 2006. Since several years, teaches yoga between India and Europe. Currently lives in Bangalore, India.
The island of Hvar is the queen of the Croatian Dalmatian islands. Hvar is proud that it has the most sunny hours of all the islands in the Adriatic Sea. The vast fields of lavender, gorgeous beaches with tiny inlets and secluded coves, ancient olive trees and lush vineyards create immaculate harmony between man and nature. "The Traveller" has given the island of Hvar a title of being one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the world.
You will be offered three healthy vegetarian meals per day. Breakfasts will consist of porridge, fruits, milk, bread, butter, cheese, jam.
Lunch and dinner will be tasty and balanced meals prepared by our local chef.
Herbal teas will be offered in the morning, before yoga sessions. Smoking and drinking alcohol is not permitted on the retreat premises.
Dining outside the retreat center is possible in case of visiting a nearby town, but will depend on the group’s preference whether to eat in retreat center or outside. For dining outside of the retreat center, extra charges apply.

Direct flights connect many European cities with Croatian city of Split via Split Airport (SPU). There are regular shuttles between the Split Airport and the Split ferry port. If you’re looking for alternatives, there are flights connecting many European cities with town of Zadar, from where you can take a bus ride (2-3 hours long) to reach Split. Split main bus station is just opposite the ferry port.
Split is a beautiful old town and the centre is just 10 minutes walk from the port. If you have time between the flights and ferries, do take a walk and explore.
From Split, there are direct ferry lines to Stari Grad town on island of Hvar. We will pick you up in Stari Grad at the timing of your arrival. The usual ferry timings are at 2:30 p.m. or 5 p.m. from Split, they are arriving at Stari Grad port at 4:30 pm and 7 pm respectively. On the day of departure, we will drop you off in the Stari Grad port at 10:30 a.m. to ensure you catch the 11:30 a.m. ferry to Split. The pick up / drop off is included in the price.
