Over six days, you start your explorations of applied physiology and the functional anatomy of yoga movement. You will have in-depth asana explorations, learning about correct alignment and how to adapt this to each specific body type.

Join this integrative training and dive deep into:

  • Fascia, tensegrity and its bodily equivalent: the ‘fascia line system’
  • The mechanics of contraction
  • Fascia & our emotional body
  • In-depth and personalized asana explorations
  • Understanding restriction & subsequent compensation
  • Safe movement & intentional lines
  • The usage of props, individualized variations, and alignment
  • Understanding pain in Yoga
  • Unique approaches to Mindfulness training supporting awareness across the different yogic bodies

The acquired skills will enable you to bring a strongly individualized touch to your classes. You will be able to support clients or students with impairments of the fascia and posture. By knowing how props and small adaptations can be incorporated, you will be able to find the safest and most beneficial way for each person to practice yoga - improving their overall ability to move smartly and safely.

Retreat location

The castle is located in a quiet place in the Beaujolais region of France, they have forests around the castle and about half an hour's drive away, they have a beautiful lake to visit. Overall it is very quiet and really a place to go into a retreat and enjoy the course to its fullest. There is not much around, you can find a supermarket about 10 minutes drive away and there are beautiful picturesque villages with small cafe's dotted around.

Arrival by bus

Big bus companies link Lyon to Paris and other major European cities (Torino, Barcelona, Geneva, Zurich, Frankfurt, etc.). Buses usually arrive at Lyon Perrache or Lyon Part-Dieu train stations. From these stations, you can get a combination of train and bus to get to Domaine de Longeval.
