HotYogaMalta has partnered with Yoga & Movement by Rosita Jan to host another unforgettable sailing yoga retreat that literally and figuratively causes yogis to float away into the blue abyss. With an all-inclusive retreat, all you need to pack is your sunscreen and swimsuit. Over the course of seven days and six nights, attendees are challenged and delighted in a variety of sailing, sightseeing, and yoga activities. While the exact schedule is flexible, subject to Mother Earth's choice of wind and sea conditions, attendees are guaranteed a daily yoga practice at Malta's most striking and scenic locations.

Accommodation

Accommodation is arranged in cabins, on a private or shared basis.The boats have cabins with a double bed or two bunk beds. The skipper sleeps above board. The cabins are based on booking. If single cabins are purchased by individuals, couples, or friends, then the bunk beds are filled.

Program

Since mother nature dictates where the wind will take you on the day, HotYogaMalta cannot guarantee a specific itinerary, but roughly a day of a yogi at sea would look like.

The morning sun starts to hit your eyelids and even though you just want to stay in bed lulled by the rocking motion of the sea, you get that first whiff of freshly brewed coffee, so you decide to roll out of your cabin and walk up on the deck to find an exquisite spread of fruits, yoghurt, pastries, all surrounded by water, stillness and one of the three sister islands in the background.

The experienced skipper brings you to a remote beach spot for our morning yoga practice, where your mind wants to focus on your upward facing dog but your heart can't resist shifting its attention towards the sun glistening on the waters.

10:00

You might stay and swim or pickup a book and read on the deck or simply sail away to another spot. HotYogaMalta has all the freedom in the world to decide there and then.

12:00

Enjoy lunch freshly prepared on board, accompanied by some chit chat.

14:00

Sail around listening so some old folks' tale by the skipper about some cave or some hill or something of this sort. People at sea have many entertaining stories to tell.

17:00

The sun is still pretty strong at that time but somehow we always manage to find a shaded spot for an evening yoga session unless you decide on a meditation or a restorative session on the boat.

19:00

Dinner is served either on the boat or at one of the traditional Maltese restaurants at the north of the island.

21:00

Lying in bed under the stars wishing the week never comes to an end.

Retreat location

The retreat takes place at the Maltese Islands. It commences at the Grand Harbour at Kalkara Marina, and sets sail to explore Malta and its sister islands Gozo and Comino after dinner.

Food

For breakfast, lunch and dinner vegetarian dishes will be prepared on board or simply hit some local restaurants for some traditional Maltese delicacies. Dietary requirements are accommodated however HotYogaMalta cannot guarantee any allergies due to cross-contamination.

A wholesome breakfast will be prepared daily on board before or after your morning yoga class offering a variety of fresh fruits, granola, yogurts, cheeses, and bread. Lunch will be served on board freshly prepared by your hosts, which will include a variety of dips, vegetarian salads, and desserts. Dinner will held in one of the traditional Maltese restaurants at the north of the island.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 30% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 14 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 14 days before arrival.
