Depending on the wind and sea conditions, attendees are guaranteed to a daily yoga practice at Malta's most special, striking, and scenic locations. Accommodation is arranged in cabins, on a private or shared basis.The boats have three private cabins with a double bed, and two cabins with bunk beds. The skipper sleeps above board. The cabins are based on booking. If single cabins are purchased by individuals, couples, or friends, then the bunk beds are filled.

Enjoy a sailing and yoga retreat in a location that permits laying on the beach in Costa Rica, while propagating the ancient practice of stillness. Sailing beings you closer to the earth, wind, and air. The retreat gives you the chance and time to feel it.You will get plenty of time for soaking up the sun on the boat, getting your feet sandy on secluded beaches, and interacting with other retreat attendees.

Daily schedule

  • 08:00 Breakfast
  • 10:00 Morning beach yoga
  • 11:30 Set sail to a new location accompanied by some yoga talk, tanning sessions, or just lie with a good book
  • 13:00 Lunch on board
  • 15:00 Optional excursions on land or just pick up a pair of snorkel, and get with the Mediterranean Sea
  • 18:00 Worskhop or meditation session
  • 20:00 Restaurant dinner, followed by ending the day sleeping under the stars
  • Cave exploration at it's best with your fellow skipper
  • Stroll around the picturesque capital city of Malta, Valletta, admiring it's tiny streets adorned by traditional Maltese balconies
  • Visiting the temples of Hagar Qim, megalithic temples dating back as far as 3600 years BC accompanied by a private tour guide

    Ritianne is the owner and operator of HotYogaMalta. Her training in both Hot yoga and traditional Ashtanga yoga in India gives her not only a solid foundation as a teacher, but a varied and in-depth understanding of both traditional and modern yoga. Her fusion style now is both energizing and focused. Her cues keep you on your toes while sequencing is creative and unique.

    Emily always knew that she loved to practice yoga in challenging outdoor situations. She never knew how utterly devoted she was to what she's deemed dirty yoga until the sailing and yoga retreat 2016. Emily adores finding innovative spaces to practice in where she can incorporate her wide knowledge of fitness and yoga principles.

The retreat takes place at the Maltese Islands. It commences at the Grand Harbour at Kalkara Marina, and sets sail to explore Malta and its sister islands Gozo and Comino after dinner.

A wholesome breakfast will be prepared daily on board before or after your morning yoga class offering a variety of fresh fruits, granola, yogurts, cheeses, and bread. Lunch will be served on board freshly prepared by your hosts, which will include a variety of dips, vegetarian salads, and desserts. Dinner will held in one of the many restaurants on the islands where you will have the opportunity to try the local cuisine.

Eating delicious and nutritious foods is one of the best parts of the retreat. Each morning, you will receive a lovely spread of fruits, cereals or porridge, breads, eggs, avocado, tomato or cheeses, vegan and normal milk, teas, and coffees. One meal will be made by your instructors and provided on board. The meal will be a lighter vegan or vegetarian home-cooked mixture, like smoky avocado quinoa, a salad, and dips with bread.

The other meal will be at a beach side cafe or restaurant, where you can expect local fish, vegetarian pasta, plenty of olives, and, if you like, you can purchase a local glass of wine or bottle of Cisk. Different dietary choices are respected.
