This was my first time doing yoga but Tanya made my experience most enjoyable. Brian and Tanya were excellent hosts and the food was AMAZING. I also enjoyed the treatments offered by Brian. I would highly recommend this retreat. The location is the icing on the cake.

"Fantastic place to relax, stretch and reset"

Tanya and Brian are fantastic hosts and made us feel at home from the moment we met them. The relaxation yoga on arrival was fabulous after a stressful week and a long drive. The hot yoga did not disappoint, and we thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of twisting ourselves into all sorts of weird and wonderful positions!! Tanya ran the classes with just the right mixture of discipline, fun and encouragement which made them all the more enjoyable. Brian's Reiki treatment is to be recommended and the food provided was fantastic and I am not a vegetarian!! We will definitely be back! Thanks

"Amazing week in the Highlands with personalised coaching"

Tanya and Brian were the most welcoming and supportive hosts. The location was idyllic, the home was warm and comfortable, the food was delicious and fresh.

Tanya's yoga classes were exactly what we needed each day, and she tailored the instructions and coaching to each individual so I was able to achieve the goals I'd set.

Brian's therapies were effective, relaxing and peaceful.

I cannot wait to go again.

"Magical spot in the highlands!"

Everything about the retreat is magical. The location is stunning! Surrounded by nature, making everything so peaceful and calm. Both Tanya and Brian have the most beautiful souls, filled with brilliant enthusiasm and strong skills. Tanya made the yoga experience the best I have ever had. The quality of the lessons were second to none and have lifted my confidence in my practice. Brian’s treatments were brilliant, so interesting to learn about and experience. The feeling of calmness after the treatments were unbelievable! I have come back from the retreat feeling so peaceful, strong and motivated. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to experience the retreat, and could not recommend it more.

"Perfect stay at hotinthehighlands"

The warm welcome and homely stay with Tanya and Brian was perfect. They are a special couple who are brilliant at hosting this wondeful retreat. Their home is so cosy and comfortable in a magical, beautiful setting with spectacular scenery, hearty home cooked meals and a variety of excellent yoga classes and treatments. I booked it very last minute in need of a re-set and I’m so, so glad I did.

It was a very relaxing experience and I feel refreshed and energised after the four days.

Tanya is a brilliant yoga teacher-her passion shines through and her explanations clear. And Brian is very gifted at Reiki.

So close to Pitlochry, travel from Glasgow was easy and it is a skip and a jump away from the loch for swimming and the ancient Forrest for walks.

I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a chill out and re-set, or to work on their yoga skills (at your own pace- all levels welcomed). And you might even see a badger too. Amazing!!! Thanks guys 🙏Namaste Xxx

"Amazing from beginning to end"

The location was incredible - in the forest and a short walk away from the lake. The hosts, Tanya and Brian, were the kindest and most welcoming people I've seen in a long time. The yoga studio was warm and pleasant, open at all times. The house feels like a home and the food was healthy and fresh at all times. I absolutely loved the river running through the garden and the wildlife! And, most of all, the bike ride by the lake side was challenging and refreshing! Gonna conquer that lake the next time around. 😅

"Perfect Piece of Paradise 🙌"

Where do I begin? 😍😍

Tanya and Brian have created the most idyllic haven in the Highlands which ticked every box and more.

Tanya's instruction in yoga was excellent and I visibly noticed an improvement in my postures in a short space of time.

The food was delicious and plentiful. The accommodation cosy and comfortable but what I loved the most was the setting. Tucked overlooking the river you could hear the stream bubbling away whilst the wildlife came out to play. Everything from watching the badgers and pinemartins entertaining us by coming out to dine at night, the daily display of the abundant birdlife flocking around the bird table, the bees and butterflies buzzing around their beautifully landscaped garden, blooming flowers splashing colour everywhere... it was all a sight to behold 🤩

We had the best weather you could possibly want and it was awe inspiring star gazing at night with no light pollution.

I was able to cycle around the Loch with hardly any traffic, stop at beautiful sandy beaches to cool off in the water. Both the Loch and the river upstream were only a 5 minute walk to take a bracing dip and the surrounding woodland was fairytale like with amazing views all around.

Tanya and Brian were the perfect hosts and it really felt like a home from home, the pictures could never do this gem justice.

I sincerely hope it won't be long until I'm back.

"Absolutely amazing"

Both Tanya and Brian were amazing hosts, and made us all feel so welcome and comfortable. The yoga was brilliant - with Tanya adapting it slightly each time according to how we were feeling. I am not usually a fan of hot yoga, but I was converted by the end of this retreat. The location was beautiful and so peaceful and restorative. The vegetarian/vegan food was delicious and there was always plenty of food available to help nourish our bodies and minds. Both Tanya and Brian are inspirational and so wonderful at what they do. I will be recommending this retreat to my friends for sure!

I loved everything about my 5 day Hot in the Highlands Yoga Retreat hosted by Tanya and her equally lovely , very warm, hospitable husband Brian. My expectations were more than exceeded, having done numerous yoga retreats of varying natures over many years to compare it by. It was most certainly 'hot' during all morning yoga sessions so no surprises there but with Tanya's very expert, professional and personal elements to her teaching style alongside support, I ( and the other 2 ladies ) soon acclimatised. The couple's cosy but very well equipped studio provided the perfect energising yet relaxing environment to further compliment her yoga and Brian's own specialist holistic optional holistic treatments willingly offered by both .

By the end of the week following Tanya's highly motivating and inspiring informal yoga teaching, I had attained another level of mental, physical

( ''noodle body '') flexibility. This was achieved more easily from my regular integration of simple yoga postures within my daily life, that said, even for the novice 'yogi', they would still be able to reach a level of practice beyond what they would anticipate gained from Tanya's expertise, natural enthusaism, passion and knowledge for her subject.

After the very hot & sweaty yoga finished, you were further rewarded by the couple's excellent, very healthy and scrumptious breakfast, lunch and dinner inbetween

"Fantastic time away"

Tanya and Brian are amazing hosts. I liked the energetic yoga sessions in the morning and more relaxing sessions in the evening. Tanya and Brian also worked with the needs of the guests..timetable adjusted to suit extracurricular activities when needed. Lovely swim in the loch and Brian led us on a very energetic cycle trail, with amazing views. Food plentiful and delicious. Beautiful garden to lie and soak in the sun, listen to the birds.This is a weekend you can do as much or as little as you like. I would definitely recommend a trip.

"Recharging batteries!"

The yoga classes were excellent, varied and challenging. They provided for all abilities and everyone was made to feel comfortable with their achievements and things that needed working on. Tanya, not only provided superb guidance and demonstrated the positions for the different types of yoga, but was there to provide emotional support also, if needed. Brian Roache was a wonderful host. He took his guests for a relaxing and exhilarating sail on Loch Rannoch. The food was first rate. Altogether this was a fabulous weekend escape from the pressures of life and a great way to recharge batteries.

"Fantastic "

First time on a yoga retreat - first time doing Bikram yoga - I would go back in a heartbeat. Tanya and Brian are so welcoming I felt so comfortable, and I loved the whole experience, it really is the full package! The yoga is amazing, the setting is beautiful, and everyone was lovely.

"Incredible Yoga retreat from start to finish"

Tanya and Brian are very friendly, welcoming, amazing hosts providing the most incredible yoga retreat. The Bikram yoga with Tanya is exhilarating but extremely rewarding. Tanya will work you hard, make you sweat like a demon but make it fun at the same time. We all progressed beyond our expectations over the course of the week. The food is to die for; Tanya is such a wonderful cook and every meal was utterly delicious. All this is set in the most breath taking scenery of the Scottish Highlands with clear crystal lochs and ancient woodlands. On the retreat you are given time between morning and evening yoga to have the opportunity to swim, cycle, sail and walk in the beautiful surroundings or just chill in their beautiful garden and watch the wildlife. We had the delight of watching a family of pine Martins, a sturdy badger and hundreds of siskins and other birds feed in the garden. Brian is a very competent practitioner in reflexology, reiki and ear hoppi candles all of which provided a welcomed pampering feel to the retreat. If you need to recharge, reset or just escape the humdrum this will provide you with what you need and so much more.

"Peace, Nature, Health"

Tanya was an excellent host, very hardworking and very welcoming. I felt very much at home. Nothing was to much trouble for Tanya. She went to great lengths to ensure my stay was the best it could be. Very caring, great attention to detail. It was just what I needed.
