You will have the opportunity to enjoy guided morning and evening meditations to help you reflect on the year that has just passed and set your intentions for the next. Three Yin - Yang yoga practices, an Ayurveda talk and discussions round the fire, optional one to one consultations, the use of the hot tub onsite, as well as the walks on the beach or along the coast path will help you start the new year refreshed and rejuvenated.

During this retreat, you will be staying in a detached luxury farmhouse that offers ensuite twin rooms and twin rooms sharing a large family bathroom. Five Elements Retreat center is a hidden gem in the Cornish countryside. Every single detail of planning and renovation of the detached luxury farmhouse and spacious yoga studio add to the luxury feel and peaceful, restorative energy.

The luxury retreat center has a fully equipped yoga studio and treatment room on site. There is a hot tub on site, a conservatory, a snug room, and 15 acres of tranquil, rural grounds for you to explore.

This is not a large corporate retreat company operation, even though you will get the same level of professionalism and quality, yet with the depth and meaning of being personally designed and hosted by Joey and supported by a team of local experts.


Joanna Hulin
Joanna (Joey) is passionate about supporting others through introduction to meditation support, mindful events and through coaching. She brings a real, down to earth, warm, non-judgmental approach to any retreat, class or event. She holds a teacher's diploma in meditation tuition and is a qualified coach but more importantly she has learned through experience. She lovingly designs and delivers every retreat and brings in local experts in the field of yoga, Ayurveda, nutrition and holistic wellbeing to ensure event ensuring you experience depth, meaning, impact and a personal touch.

Retreat location

This retreat will take place in a rural hamlet just three miles from the Coastal surfing town of Perranporth and three miles from St Agnes, Cornwall, United Kingdom. St Agnes is a thriving picturesque village on the Cornish coast, with four beaches on the doorstep and surrounded by wonderful countryside. Aside from its clear waters, St Agnes also has a rich mining heritage and is in the heart of Poldark Country, the landscapes made famous by the novels and TV series, most recently in early 2015.

The retreat center is perfectly located in a beautiful countryside location, set in a quiet, rural hamlet, just over three miles from the village of St Agnes and within reach of the Cornish coast.

The village is also in the heart of Poldark Country, the landscapes made famous by the novels and TV series, the most recent of which was broadcast in early 2015. So explore this beautiful region or stay close to home in a friendly bustling village; either way you are assured of a memorable Cornish vacation.

During this retreat, you can relax in the hot tub to your heart's content. You can also book additional spa services, such as reflexology treatments or onsite Ayurvedic massages, at additional costs.

Driving directions from Cornwall Airport Newquay (NQY)

  • Follow the A30 to Perranporth.
  • Take the B3284 turning towards Perranporth.
  • Turn off at signs for SIlverwell and then follow the signs for Five Elements.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Cornwall Airport Newquay (NQY).

You can fly to Cornwall from a number of major UK and EU cities, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, as well as from Portugal and Germany. Your flight will arrive at Cornwall Airport Newquay (NQY). A taxi ride from the airport can be pre-booked, please see below.

Unfortunately there are no local busses that operate in this area.

Arrival by taxi

You can take a 20-minute taxi ride from Cornwall Airport Newquay (NQY) or a 10-15 minute taxi from Truro railway station to arrive at the accommodation. The taxi ride can be pre-booked before you land. Just get in touch with Horizon Inspired and they can help you with this.

Arrival by train

The nearest train station is Truro, which is a short, 10 to 15-minute taxi ride away.
