The Moondance Sedona Sanctuary, your host hotel, is awesome. TripAdvisor raves about it. It offers a majestic view of Cathedral Rock. This elegantly furnished private retreat at the end of Moondance Lane offers eight bedrooms, six baths, a fully appointed kitchen with service for 20 people, a 6,700 square feet of living space, a Wi-Fi connection, television, Jacuzzi, a swimming pool, and a covered deck.

Sage Room

The Sage Room has three single beds, and a small full private bathroom.

Lavender Room

The Lavender Room is equipped with a set of twin beds and a full private bathroom with tub.

Jade Room

The Jade Room, the large room with a view and lots of light, has a queen bed, a full private bathroom, and a rollaway bed.

Yang Room

Yang Room (was Dark Green Room) is equipped with a queen bed and the guests sleeping here share community bathroom or shower close by.

Garden

The Garden (was kids room) is the next room, and here the guests share a community bathroom or shower as well.

Lavender Master Suite

The Lavender Master Suite (was Zen) has a king bed, full private bathroom, jet tub, breakfast nook, fridge, and a rollaway bed. It can sleep two or three people.

Peace Nook

A cozy sleeping nook with a single bed, a small closet, and incoming morning light. Guest sleeping here shares community bathroom or shower.

Zen Room

Zen Room (was office bedroom) is the only upstairs room. It has a private deck with view of Cathedral Rock. The room is equipped with a full bed and a private half bathroom. Guests sleeping here share community shower.

Den Room

Den Room (was theater room) has a double bed and guests sleeping here share community bathroom or shower.

Holman Health Yoga Retreat USA Program

What will you do

At least one daily yoga class (sunrise), some vortex visits and meditations, healing workshops, several hikes, and other activities. The group is expected to have about 12 to 15 people attend. All classes, hikes, and activities are optional. This is a great time of year, not too hot, and cool at night.

Roy Holman
(Viniyoga)
Yoga Alliance RYT 500 (Hatha Yoga)
Roy is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher in the Viniyoga tradition. He teaches a safe, gentle, body-friendly, grounded, breath-connected, meditative, flowing, and traditional Hatha yoga. He also teaches breath-work (pranayama) and meditation and incorporates the aspects of emotional healing and balancing. For Roy, meditation is a mindfulness style, with focus on breath awareness, heart opening, body senses, emotional clearing, and connection on all levels.
Liz Gross
Liz Gross is a certified energy therapist, a vibrational medicine practitioner, and a biopulsar reflexograph analyst. She is a graduate of EarthWalk Institute of Healing Arts in Bellevue, Washington. Liz is a gifted sound and vibration healer and teaches with Roy on retreats. Liz teaches yoga, meditation, oneness, and often does some of the cooking on the retreats. She feels very passionate about vibrational medicine and loves working with others in that way.

This retreat will take place at the Moondance Sedona Sanctuary in Arizona, USA. Situated in the valley of Oak Creek, with a majestic view of Cathedral Rock, this elegantly furnished private retreat at the end of MoonDance Lane awaits for you. This special vacation retreat and sanctuary will ensure a memorable experience for you since it is nestled between 1.7 acres of fenced yard and breathtaking views.

Food

Bountiful freshly made breakfasts (according to your food needs) are included daily after yoga. The group will shop at a local natural foods store for lunch fixings, which will be kept at the hotel to take on hikes. Then the group usually dine out, or you can save money and cook at the retreat center. As this is Holman Health's seventh year in Sedona, they know the best places to eat, usually one night Thai, one night Mexican, one night excellent healthy food, etc.

Admire the wildlife

In Sedona, you can do a lot of wild life viewing. Some of the species you can see are blue herons, hummingbirds, quail, hawks, bald eagles, road runners, coyotes, deer, squirrels, and javelinas.

Enjoy nature

The surroundings at Sedona include state parks and picnic areas such as Verde Canyon Railroad and the Grand Canyon, as well as numerous art galleries and studios. You can enjoy activities such as fishing, swimming, experience creek side picnics, and admire the picturesque Cathedral Rock with the Red Rock Crossing on Oak Creek.

The Sedona-based Spirit Steps Tours offers guided excursions to area vortex sites, vision quests, drumming ceremonies, ancient Indian ruins, as well as superb site-seeing tours to some of the most magnificent scenic areas in the world. You can ask to take a tour for an additional cost.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Holman Health will pick you up from the airport. It is suggested to meet Holman Health at the airport by 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. Separate transportation can be arranged on request at 60 USD.
