Come experience the sacred energy and wonderful beauty of Sedona, Arizona. The retreat includes six nights of beautiful accommodations at the Transition Retreat Center, most meals, yoga, meditation, guided hikes, vortex visits, creek swimming, other trips, and shuttles/transport from and to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX), and shuttles to all guided hikes.
The retreat's host home is called Transition Home, and the transition is the goal! The house has nice, spacious rooms, good views, a wonderful setting in the very heart of Sedona, amazing breakfasts, and a lovely yoga space. The retreat will have the whole place for participants with no other guests or groups. No worries if you do not have a roommate; Holman Health will find you someone compatible.
Note: There is 1 additional full bath off the large living room
For two shared rooms above: full bath, tub/shower combo
At least one daily yoga and meditation class (sunrise or sunset), some vortex visits and meditations, healing workshops, daily hikes, and other activities. The retreat is expected to have about 12-15 people attend. All classes, hikes, and activities are optional. October is ideal hiking weather.
Note: All classes, hikes, and activities are optional of course. Rest when you need rest.
Sedona is the ideal place to practice and learn how to connect above and below. You might call this," Balancing Earth and Sky, or Bod and God!" How do you be “in this world, but not of it”? How do you root or anchor into this reality, but not identify with it, get root or earthbound? How do you “seek first the kingdom”, and connect first with that which birthed and sustained you (source) while also understanding that you need to feed and exercise the body, and be present in your body, on Earth?
There are laundry facilities (washer, dryer, detergent) at the retreat center.
Roy has taught since 2000 and is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher in the Viniyoga tradition. He teaches safe, gentle, body-friendly, grounded, breath-connected, prayerful, flowing, and traditional Hatha yoga. He also teaches breathwork (pranayama) and meditation and incorporates the aspects of emotional healing and balancing. Roy is less focused on Hindu gods and more interested in aligning with the Divine (God), and clearing the body temple for the Holy Spirit.
Liz Gross is a certified energy therapist, a vibrational medicine practitioner, and a biopulsar reflexograph analyst. She is a graduate of EarthWalk Institute of Healing Arts in Bellevue, Washington. Liz is a gifted sound and vibration healer and teaches with Roy on retreats. Liz teaches yoga, meditation, oneness, and often does some of the cooking on the retreats. She feels very passionate about vibrational medicine and loves working with others in that way. Here newest tool is NeurOptimal, an amazing technology for balancing or training the brain and helping clear past trauma.
Most meals are included (at least two a day). Daily healthy, mostly organic breakfasts: usually a wide variety buffet of oatmeal, eggs, granola, cereal, nuts, seeds, nut butter, bread, various kinds of milk (dairy and non-dairy), fresh fruit, flax, hemp, coffee, tea, and much more. They will make sure all diets are met.
They also include fixings for most of the lunches and three home-cooked delicious dinners. For other meals, you'll shop at a local natural foods store for your lunch or dinner fixings, which you'll keep at the hotel to take on hikes. Then you usually dine or lunch out 3 or 4 times, or you can save money and cook at the retreat center.
As this is their 18th year in Sedona, they know the best places to eat, usually one night Thai, one night gourmet Mexican, and one excellent, “typically Sedona” health food.
Liz offers many healing options. For more information, please send an inquiry.

Please book your flight to arrive at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Please contact Holman Health before you book your flights, for details. Some folks choose to arrive a day early or leave late, which is fine. Otherwise, you will meet at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) on the first morning (Sunday, October 20) and you will have a rented van waiting.
Please make sure your flight arrives by 11 a.m. if you plan to ride with them to Sedona from Phoenix and plan to fly home no earlier than 2 p.m., again, only if you want to ride with them back from Sedona to Phoenix. They cannot cover the costs of separate transport, only with the van. The separate shuttle is about 70 USD each way. Note: To ride in the van you must not have any very large bags; please travel light, as the van has limited space, and most people overpack anyway.
