Your host hotel MoonDance is awesome. Trip Advisor raves about it. Great spacious rooms, swimming pool, great views, wonderful setting, amazing breakfasts, and cozy yoga space. The retreat will have the whole place for participants with no other guests or groups.


Theme: Balancing head and heart

Balancing Big Mind with little mind. Most people run their lives from the small, often nagging voice in their head, the inner critic and judge. This is not a wise choice to run your life! Fortunately, Holman Health does have a wise and benevolent true essential nature, always within and ready to help you align with the Divine.

General day-by-day itinerary of the trip

At least one daily yoga class (sunrise or sunset), some vortex visits and meditations, healing workshops, daily hikes, and other activities. Holman Health expects to have about 12-14 people attend. All classes, hikes, and activities are optional. October is ideal hiking weather.

Note: All classes, hikes, activities are optional of course. Rest when you need rest.

  • Day 1: Meet in Phoenix for a shuttle van ride to Sedona (or meet Holman Health in Sedona). Visit a sacred site, yoga class, dinner.
  • Day 2: Morning yoga. Breakfast, Fay Canyon easy 3-mile hike. Natural foods store for grocery shopping. Out to dinner.
  • Day 3: Breakfast, Bell Rock Vortex hike, 3 miles. Afternoon yoga, Amitabha Peace Park Stupa, out to dinner.
  • Day 4: Meditation option, morning yoga, breakfast, healing playshop, hike on Little Horse Trail up to Chicken Point. Dinner at Moondance.
  • Day 5: Breakfast, then hike Airport Loop Vortex trail, relax at the retreat center, souvenir shopping at Crystal Magic, out to dinner.
  • Day 6: Meditation option. Morning yoga, breakfast, Cathedral Rock Vortex hike, closing ceremony, and out to dinner.
  • Day 7: Morning yoga, breakfast, shuttle to airport (or your own transport)

You will be staying right in the heart of Sedona, Arizona.


Daily healthy, mostly organic breakfasts are included, usually a wide variety buffet of oatmeal, eggs, granola, cereal, nuts, seeds, nut butter, bread, various milk (dairy and non-dairy), fresh fruit, flax, hemp, and much more. Holman Health will make sure all diets are met. The retreat also includes one home-cooked delicious dinner.

For other meals, Holman Health shops at a local natural foods store for lunch or dinner fixings, which they keep at the hotel to take on hikes. Then the group usually dines out three times, or you can save money and cook at the retreat center. As this is Holman Health's 12th year in Sedona, they know the best places to eat, usually one night Thai, one night Fancy Mexican, one night excellent health food, etc.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). You will meet at the airport the first morning and Holman Health will have a rented van waiting. Transport from this airport is provided, but only if you arrive by 11 a.m. if you plan to ride with Holman Health to Sedona from Phoenix, and plan to fly home no earlier than 2 p.m. on Saturday, again, only if you want to ride with Holman Health back from Sedona to Phoenix. Holman Health cannot cover the costs of separate transport, only with the van. A separate shuttle is about 60 USD each way. Note: To ride in the van you MUST not have any large bags; please travel light, as the van has limited space.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
