The Yoga Lodge on Whidbey Island is an educational venue that offers lodging for individual and group retreats. The lodge sits on ten acres at the end of a private lane not far from the village of Greenbank. It offers a place to pause or "unplug" from the stimulation of day-to-day life and access a quiet connected presence.
The lodge is a nature sanctuary available for reflection, writing, marking a major life event, healing, connecting with nature, and learning sacred practices such as meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda. The place itself is simple and understated to support sadhana or practice; to inspire clarity, vision, and an understanding of the interconnectedness of all life.
The forest of silver-cast alders that greets guests upon arrival is an invitation to enter a realm of natural simplicity. The surroundings are home to an array of wildlife, including deer, coyotes, owls, herons, eagles, ducks, and songbirds. Its pond and community trails offer possibilities for quiet contemplation.

This retreat has a theme that will let you focus on facing, feeling, and clearing fear. Fear is a natural emotion, but in this distorted world, fear has taken over and frozen and contracted you, delaying your shift into higher states of consciousness like joy, love, and gratitude. You will explore what fear is, where it comes from, why you are so terrified, and take back your power, passion, and purpose.
Besides twice daily yoga, you will do some hiking in beautiful, bug-free forests. You will also do some breath and meditation play-shops, as well as kirtan (call and response chant-song) to help you connect on all levels. Kirtan is an easy way to calm the mind and access higher energy vibrations.
Roy Holman will teach some of the yoga classes, lead the hike, and help to cook. Roy teaches a breath-connected, meditative, Flow Vinioga, and has led over 50 retreats, in the North Cascades as well as in Sedona, Mexico, Costa Rica, Bali, and Guatemala.
You will have a total of four or five yoga classes over the weekend in the beautiful space, breathwork workshops, meditation classes, a hike, a silent meditation walk, and great food and great people.
Liz Gross will also teach yoga, meditation and energy work, and help to cook. She feels very passionate about vibrational medicine and loves working with others in this way and helping them to connect with their purpose and passion in life. Vibrational energy medicine brings the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies back into balance, which opens the way for rebuilding the healing systems of the body.
