You will be staying at Harmony Hill Retreat Center. Harmony Hill began with Gretchen Schodde's dream to create a retreat center where people could experience renewal and deep well-being. Harmony Hill Retreat Center's 11.5-acre site overlooks Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains. Their rustic lodges, charming sleeping rooms, and meeting spaces are surrounded by garden paths, walking and hiking trails, and a choice of two labyrinths.

Program

Whether you are a beginner or expert at yoga, meditation, or hiking, you are welcome on this retreat. Holman Health teaches to all levels, so experienced yogis and hikers will hopefully get what they need, without forgetting those who are new to yoga, or cannot hike fast or far. Everyone will have a positive experience. Sometimes, Holman Health will split the hike into two groups, a stronger hike group, and a more meditative hike group.

Itinerary

Friday afternoon

You drive and perhaps take a ferry (depending on your route) and arrive any time after 3 p.m. at the retreat center. There will be a yoga practice at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Afterward, join a community circle to meet and greet with other participants and meditate before bed.

Saturday

Start your day with a morning coffee or tea, followed by yoga practice. After yoga practice, enjoy a bountiful breakfast. After breakfast, you can join an optional hike (Holman Health will pack you a lunch). In the afternoon, enjoy a yoga session followed by dinner, kirtan, or relaxation session (or both!).

Sunday

Enjoy your morning coffee or tea. Then, join a yoga session followed by breakfast. Next, a silent meditation walk followed by a relaxation time. There will be a short healing playshop, then lunch, and a closing circle. You will finish by 2 p.m. or so. Holman Health encourages you to leave a bit of space at the end, not having to rush off, and ideally leave sometime in your schedule Sunday night and Monday, to integrate, settle into the new you, before you move on to the next stage of your adventure.

Human design (45 USD, 30 minutes)

You will need to tell Liz five days before retreat your official name, birthdate, and time of birth, and where you were born. What is Human Design? It's a system that brings together principles of The I Ching, astrology, Kabbalah, Hindu-Brahmin chakra system, and quantum physics. Human Design offers a map, or a manual, that indicates how you are unique as a person, and guides you in living in a manner that is in sync with who you are.

Driving directions from Seattle and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) (about 90 minutes)

  • Follow I-5 South to Tacoma.
  • Just past the Tacoma Dome, exit at exit #132 onto highway 16 to Bremerton via the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
  • Past Gig Harbor and Port Orchard, move to left and exit onto highway 3 to Belfair and Shelton.
  • Continue on highway 3 past Bremerton airport and Belfair, merge right onto state route 106 towards Twanoh State Park.
  • Harmony Hill is 13 miles ahead on the left.

Driving directions from Bremerton/Seattle ferry port (one-hour crossing, 40-minute drive)

  • Allow some time for ferry line wait. Board Bremerton ferry from downtown Seattle.
  • From Bremerton dock follow signs to highway 304.
  • Continue on highway 304 - follow toward Shelton signs to highway 3, drive towards Belfair/Shelton.
  • Continue on highway 3 past Bremerton airport and Belfair, merge right onto State Route 106 towards Twanoh State Park.
  • Harmony Hill is 13 miles ahead on the left.

Driving directions from Tacoma (about 50 minutes)

  • From I-5, take Bremerton/highway 16 exit.
  • Southbound, past the Tacoma Dome, northbound just after Tacoma Mall.
  • Go over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and onward past Gig Harbor and Port Orchard.
  • From left lane exit onto highway 3 to Belfair and Shelton.
  • Continue on Highway 3 past Bremerton airport and Belfair, merge right onto State Route 106 towards Twanoh State Park.
  • Harmony Hill is 13 miles ahead on the left.

Driving directions from Edmonds Ferry (30-minute crossing and an hour drive)

  • Allow some time ferry line wait.
  • From the dock, stay on highway 104 for about 8 miles.
  • Turn right onto Bremerton/Highway 3 South at marked light.
  • From the right lane, go under the overpass, and merge onto highway 3 to Bremerton.
  • South of Bremerton, take the exit toward Shelton and Belfair/highway 3 South.
  • Continue on highway 3 past Bremerton airport and Belfair, merge right onto State Route 106 towards Twanoh State Park.
  • Harmony Hill is 13 miles ahead on the left.

Driving directions from Olympia (about 45-minute)

  • From I-5 in Olympia, exit onto highway 101 toward Shelton and Ocean Beaches.
  • Continue north on highway 101 past Shelton and toward Hoodsport.
  • Exit to the right onto State Route 106, prior to Hoodsport.
  • Harmony Hill is 7 miles ahead on the right just past Alderbrook Resort.

Driving directions from Portland (about 2.5 hours)

  • Drive north on I-5 towards Seattle for 110 miles.
  • As you enter Olympia, take exit 104 west to Shelton and Highway 101.
  • Continue east on highway 101 for approximately 8 miles and bear right heading north on 101 toward Shelton (not west to Ocean Beaches).
  • Continue north on Highway 101 past Shelton, toward Hoodsport for approximately 20 miles.
  • Exit to the right to state route 106, (before Hoodsport).
  • Harmony Hill is about 7 miles ahead on the right, just past Alderbrook Resort.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). Airport transfer is not included. For more information, please send an inquiry to Holman Health.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
