"Beautiful retreat that was transformational "

The setting was stunning, submersed in the countryside with a beautiful brook tumbling through the grounds. The yoga was fabulous, I was able to release tension and emotions which was just fantastic. The food was so good, I feel nourished in my mind body and soul. There was a great feeling of trust and support not just from our lovely yoga teacher, but also with each other. This has been truly transformational and I can’t recommend this retreat highly enough, and I wish we could have stayed longer!

"Magical Balabrook "

Everything about the retreat was such a wonderful experience. The quality of the accomodation and facilities were superior. The location of Balabrook was so peaceful and relaxing set in the beautiful Dartmoor countryside. Michelle was a very skilled yoga instructor who also utilised a variety of transferable techniques to enhance our practice. Throughout the retreat, we ate nutritious vegetarian food, cooked by Cathy, so delicious. Once you've discovered Balabrook, you will want to return.

I personally found it transformative.

Would advise to anyone who wishes to have a good balance between silence and introspection, whilst also making new connections when the time is right.

Michelle is a lovely, skilled and knowledgeable yoga practitioner. The classes were varied, intuitive and I felt like I learnt a lot.

The food was excellent.

The location is stunning with beautiful energy flowing through the site.

My room was comfortable and relaxing.

"Stunning location!"

Bala Brook is the most perfect retreat location. So peaceful tucked away in the valley with the gorgeous wildflower meadow and sound of the Brook cascading over the rocks. The perfect place to reflect and find harmony. The yoga sessions were very good and I enjoyed trying vegan food. Loved the dancing and fire ceremony too! Even tried wild swimming. The weather was glorious and I came home filled with positive energy and good vibes from sharing the space with a group of lovely ladies.

"A peaceful few days in a beautiful location"

Bala Brook is in a beautiful location and has a lovely set of accommodations. There are two lovely yoga studios. Our teacher, Michelle, was attentive and created a very spiritual atmosphere with a lot of yoga related activities, alongside the yoga classes. The food was prepared and presented with love and care. Thank you MIchelle for your time and focus on our spiritual potential.

"Weekend Holistic retreat - over 3 days"

The peace and relaxation that came from the all the sessions provided, including a massage, had a profound effect. I don't know that I have ever been that still or peaceful in mind and body. Only one moment caused me unrest and the techniques learnt from earlier sessions enabled me to cope.

We had an amazing group atmosphere and it was a privilege to share a weekend with such wonderful people.

The food was lovely and discovering mindful eating and practicing silence from evening through to breakfast was easier than I imagined it would be.

It would have been lovely to have have had more time to walk in the area.

This weekend changed my pace of life. What a beautiful weekend Michelle created. The location is so beautiful - out in nature, peaceful and with no interruptions. "Better than expected"

I liked the mixture of yoga and meditation and the experience was a truly holistic one. The food was excellent and alongside the cookery lessons from Ollie the ingredients and methods made complete sense - it left me inspired to cook and passionate about what I am eating. The yoga was considered and strengthening and with the instruction of Michelle and her corrections I now feel I have learnt how to hold a pose for longer and with more certainty. Bala Brook is in a really beautiful setting in the Devon countryside with a lovely garden, full of flowers and butterflies and a fast-flowing stream, leading onto fields and moorland to walk in. I appreciated the amount of care and love the teachers put into everything we did - it was an intensive few days, not just rest and relaxation, but I think it was a great experience.
