Anthony O’Flynn

Anthony first began to practice yoga in 1999. He met his first teacher Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, an international advisor of World Yoga Council in Rishikesh, India. He became a dedicated practitioner of yoga and has spent approximately two years of his life in India studying, practicing, and immersing himself in the tradition of yoga and continued his study in Thailand.

His journey into the world of yoga begins with a healthy body and a positive approach to life and its various challenges. His knowledge extends into many of the disciplines of yoga including Hatha, Kundalini, Tantra, Vedanta, Laya, Karma, Raja, Kriya, and Kashmir Shaivism. Significantly, he advocates a modern approach for people of the 21st century to integrate yoga into their lives.

He believes that the system of yoga can be of benefit to people from all walks of life. His approach is that yoga is for everyone and considers such a system to be an essential aspect to the life of all individuals in the world of today. Anthony’s philosophy is very simple, “Make regular time for the practice and the beneficial results will follow”.

Nina Hansen

Originally from Norway, Nina now resides in Australia. Similarly, her journey into the world of yoga began in 1999. Nina has spent extended periods in both India and Thailand studying under Swami Vivekananda Saraswati. This trip to India proved to be a pivotal moment in her life and change in direction.

Nina has always believed that we are all responsible for our own happiness. She recognized that each individual seeks to maximize their own personal happiness by pursuing whatever they believe makes them happy. She observed that people from all walks of life have this common goal. Nina noted that this relentless pursuit of happiness was at the heart of human existence.

Nina began her spiritual path in India and was fascinated with the richness of Indian philosophy, specifically Tantra and quickly became absorbed by metaphysical and esoteric teachings. Her deep appreciation of spiritual art is enriched as she completed studies in Visual Communications and the History of Art and Design in England.

Nina offers a very gentle and soft teaching style. Compassion and tolerance are intrinsic components in her ability to convey the message of yoga in a modern and contemporary approach. This ability is fundamental to expand consciousness and is a constant reminder to embrace the journey of life and cherish each and every day.

"I attended the retreat in the hope that I would find someone to help me with the traumatic events of the past 24 months that left my mind, body, and soul ravaged full of self-doubt depression, anxiety, confusion, and diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I was afraid to leave the house for days and weeks, afraid to answer the phone, afraid of all people, afraid of life, and everything in it. With respect, constant support, and encouragement in a safe, happy, and positive environment, Anthony helped me to realize that what I was searching for was with me all the time. He showed me how to unlock my mind, heart, and soul. I now look at life with new eyes, new beginning, and I can say I have left the old me behind. I gained so much more from this experience."
