"Great place for small group"

For our group of two the yoga was excellent, Rod is very knowledgeable in both theory and practice and provided a wide range of experiences. The yoga, meditations and relaxation were just what we wanted. Rod was also happy to accommodate the things we asked for.

Srijana cooked us excellent meals and nothing was too much trouble.

It was really lovely to be able to practice in such a calm, welcoming environment. They are truly special people

"You have to experience it for yourself!"

I booked this Yoga Retreat as its something that’s been on my bucket list for a while and I was in definite need for deep relaxation.

I wasn’t quite sure of what to expect when I arrived…but this changed very quickly and in hindsight was one of the best experiences I’ve encountered.

Srijana and Rod are a truly beautiful couple and I instantly felt relaxed and comfortable.

We spent the duration of the retreat sharing stories, eating, laughing and of course doing yoga and meditation- the amount of knowledge I gained from this experience has been invaluable and I still try to incorporate them into my daily life even today.

Throughout the experience both were very accommodating, patient and adaptable and I couldn’t have asked for better people to spend the weekend with.

I can’t explain how beneficial I found this retreat, it not only helped me mentally/physically but also on a spiritual level which is what I was hoping for.

Rod taught me breathing techniques to help with calmness and carefully explained the benefits behind every yoga pose which was incredibly insightful to learn about.

Srijana gave me a lovely facial and we all had some great conversations which often left us in hysterics (a beautiful moment which makes me smile even today)

I left the retreat feeling relaxed, happy and joyful that I had met such kind beautiful souls who helped me feel in tune with my zenness.

"Blissful yoga & meditation "

I'm not sure where to start! Everything was just so perfect. We were made to feel exceptionally welcome throughout our whole time with Rod & Srijana. They created a retreat based on our requests (relaxation, meditation & yogic spirituality), that felt so immersive, holistic & relaxing. It was just what we both needed. It was wonderful to have a personalised retreat, such a incredible experince for us both. The yoga knowledge was second to none, the indepth understanding of meditation, relaxation & yogic spirituality was like nothing I'd experienced before (over 20 years into my yoga journey). And oh my goodness the food! Just wow! We will definitely be booking again. I feel nurtured, calm & know my yoga journey has only really just began. Thank you so much to you both. Absolutely wonderful retreat. I'm now off to cook some more comforting retreat porridge:)

"What a lovely inspiring weekend!"

I had such a great weekend staying at this yoga retreat. Rod and Srijana made me feel so welcome and comfortable. The Zen Den where I stayed was very nice, cosy and clean and the garden was lovely.

I enjoyed the whole programme from yoga, meditation and breath-work to chanting and cooking. Rod is very knowledgeable and adapted the sessions to my needs and focus areas. I’ve practised yoga for about 10 years, but learnt so much from Rod in these 3 days.

Srijana’s food was so tasty and her energy is so warm and friendly. I had the Nepali head massage and it was very nice and relaxing.

I’m really grateful for this weekend, it’s a truly unique experience that I will always remember and cherish. I can highly recommend this retreat!

"Ipswich weekend get away"

I enjoyed that the hosts were very welcoming. Both Srijana and Rod also personalised the programme to suit my needs and made the effort to ensure my comfortability.

Cooking with Srijana was also a great experience and learning about another cuisine. The massage was also very relaxing and the surrounding area was lovely.

"Wonderful and inspiring weekend"

This experience went way beyond my expectations. Rod and Srijana were so welcoming and made me feel like part of the family, right from the beginning, as if I`d known them for a long time. The accommodation is bright clean and spacious, opening on to a delightful garden, that makes you feel as if you were not in an urban setting at all. The Nepalese style vegetarian meals were delicious, varied and beautifully presented - also plentiful ! I really enjoyed their company at mealtimes and felt relaxed enough to talk about anything with them, the conversations were light and fun. Rod introduced me to some aspects of Pilates and the yoga sessions were tailored to my ability. I learned a lot from his in-depth knowledge of the theory and practice of yoga. In addition to the yoga practice we shared an uplifting evening of meditation and bead chanting, the next day was shown how to use a Neti Pot (which I had never dared try before - very good for my sinusitis !) and Srijana gave me a wonderful head massage.

In all a memorable and enriching weekend.

"Relaxing stay"

I had a fantastic weekend break thanks to Srijana & Rod who are great host. I really enyoyed the breathing and meditation sessions which help me to relieve stress and anxiety and really appreciated Rod's advices on my asthma & migraines I frequently get.

The Nepali style facial is highly recommended along with the cooking session, thanks Srijana :-)

"A lovely experience!"

This is a very intimate yoga retreat where Rod and Sirjana welcome you into their home. We were made to feel like members of their family from the moment we arrived to the when we left. My friend and I both felt that they are possibly the most sweet and caring people we have ever met. Totally genuine people who love Yoga and doing retreats.

The yoga and meditation was all very relaxing and Rod was very informative.

The food was absolutely incredible! Sirjana made amazing meals that wouldn’t have been out of place at a restaurant or hotel.

The Nepalese facial was also fantastic and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

"Re charge your batteries"

What a superb weekend. I was quite nervous about what to expect on a personalised yoga weekend. I thought I might feel a bit intimidated, but I was very pleasantly surprised that it was quite the reverse. I felt so much at home. Ron and Srijana are the loveliest people you could ever wish to meet. I'd chatted beforehand and explained that I'd lost my motivation due to Covid and lockdown and I also had a problem with my knees. Rod tailored everything to my needs and each little thing that I had an interest in, he managed to find me quality information. The food, cooked by Srijana, was super fresh and beautifully presented. The accommodation was very clean and pleasant and was situated away from the house in a lovely little zen garden, where we were able, due to warm weather, to perform some meditation. Yoga and other practices took place in the lovely little studio. I felt totally relaxed at the end of this weekend and ready once again to face life's challenges. I would 100% recommend

"Relaxing, peaceful weekend "

Had a very peaceful, relaxing weekend. Practised gentle yoga with Rod, who is extremely knowledgable about the theory and practice of yoga. Had very tasty, wholesome Nepali food. The accommodation was neat, clean and comfortable. Srijana gave me a nice facial on the last day. Both Srijana and Rod are extremely warm and hospitable. Would definitely recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a relaxing, calming weekend.

"The best weekend of my life!"

Oh dear! What a lovely weekend! Everything was absolutely perfect: the food, the accommodation, the yoga and meditation practices. Srijana and Rod are the loveliest people I’ve met so far. They are very discreet and flexible. I was able to do what I wanted and spend some time on my own. The accommodation is very clean and pretty. Nice little touches here and there. You can feel that there was a lot of love and personalisation put into the decor. The Saturday evening meditation got me so deep, I slept like a log for 10 hours and that’s exactly what I needed to run away from busy London. On the last day, I chose facial with Srijana and it was absolutely amazing! She’s very good at it.

Overall, I can’t express how grateful I am for choosing this yoga retreat. It was way beyond my expectations! I recommend this yoga retreat a 100%.

Thank you Rod and Srijana! I will definitely see you soon again.

"Just what I needed"

After years of Pilates, I opted for an introductory weekend of Yoga (48 hours, from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon).

Rod pitched the yoga practice at a level I coped with well, taking into account my good level of fitness and balance etc., but also being sensitive to my pre-existing vulnerabilities (knees, hip), and all the while explaining the principles and philosophy underpinning the practice. The weekend included meditation sessions, also contextualised. He had prepared handouts for me to read, including one directly relevant to my profession (psychotherapy).

I loved cooking Nepali food with Srijana, who joined in one of the meditation sessions and before I left, I got an awesome head massage from her.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my long weekend staying with them, eating with them, walking around Ipswich with them and generally being treated as one of the family.

"Wonderful Yoga retreat weekend "

From the moment I arrived I was made to feel at home and Srijana and Rod's exceptional kindness and warm hospitality ensured I had a relaxed and enjoyable weekend. I had had back problems all week so Rod tailored the Yoga classes accordingly and I was delighted that we covered new Yoga asanas and didn't just revisit the usual postures. Rod is so knowledgeable about Yoga that I learned a great deal from him. And

as for Srijana's cuisine - it's to die for! Srijana is Nepalese and her Nepalese cooking is outstanding (I'm a gluten-free, vegetarian foodie so I was in heaven all weekend!). Thank you so much for a lovely, healing weekend, Srijana and Rod.

"Fully satisfied, couldn't have wished for more"

Srijana and Rod are lovely welcoming people and really made my stay comfortable. They put lots of effort in everything they do to give their guests the best experience.

During my personalised Yoga retreat, they offered various activities as part of their program which allowed flexibility as well. I enjoyed the Yoga and meditation sessions, learning more about the Yogi world, the delicious Nepali meals incl. their preparation, the walks in the park across the studio, the facial I had and all our chats, of course.

The room I stayed in was cosy, spacious and clean and the garden is a simply beautiful spot to relax in. I can fully recommend this place and the hosts! It's a brillant and reasonably priced opportunity to escape to a different world for a weekend.
