Retreat location

Finca Margaritas is a fifth-generation coffee farm in the mountains of Southern Oaxaca, Mexico. You can see the Pacific Ocean on a clear day. Surround yourself with nature and see the authentic side of Mexico.

It is located within a coffee farm founded in 1871, in the jungle of Pluma Hidalgo and at the foot of the Sierra Madre del Sur, in the state of Oaxaca, about 45 minutes from the Huatulco airport. Its climate is tropical, so you will enjoy its pool a lot.

It usually rains, but when the sky is clear, at night, you will be surprised by observing a sky covered with stars, in which the Milky Way makes an appearance.

Things to do (optional)

Holistic Soul Project will provide help with planning your Day of the Dead excursion, or you can join them. They will provide help in navigating your visit to the nearby beaches of Oaxaca's Pacific Coast. The dates of the two retreats have been specifically chosen to coincide with Day of the Dead in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, which is an incredible place to experience the Mexican holiday.

In Holistic Soul Project's opinion, it's very much worth it to plan five extra days to experience Oaxaca City, especially during this most celebrated time of year. If you'd like to join for a respectful and culturally sensitive Day of the Dead experience in Oaxaca City, the dates are October 30 - November 4 (with November 3 as a free day to explore the city).

They will have a dear friend, Nuria Girones, a professional tour guide from Mexico City who has a background in Mexican anthropology and spiritualism, joining as the guide. The guide service will be a cost apart from the retreat and does not include food or accommodation. A variety of activities will be planned (with enough spaciousness to avoid burnout), diverse dining recommendations are available for all budgets and they're happy to make recommendations for accommodations (again that meet a variety of budgets).

If you're interested in joining the Day of the Dead tour, you are strongly recommended to look for accommodations soon, as they are expecting near-normal crowds this year and Airbnbs and hotels almost always fill for these dates. That said, if you're interested but just not sure yet, there will be a way to find you a place to stay down the road.
