The retreat is held at Rancho Rustico, a beautiful and simple house with accommodation in a private or shared twin room with sharing bathroom. There are a double room in the house, a timber or bamboo glamping pod with double bed, and a bell tent that is simple but sumptuous, with electricity and comfortable two single beds. There are hot and cold shower facilities. Bed linen and towels are provided. Internet access is available.

This retreat is like a much-needed breath of fresh air. It is an opportunity to take a real step away from life’s usual demand. By combining asana practice, pranayama techniques, meditation, yoga Nidra, and mantra chanting in an amazing location of peace, nature, and tranquility, Lien Mei offers you an experience of holistic living.

You are encouraged to listen to your inner voice and reconnect with yourself in a deep and meaningful way, leading you to an intensive and profound transformation. You will learn powerful and valuable tools and techniques to use in your day-to-day life to continue the healing process afterwards.

The retreat schedule is designed in such a way as to balance activity with rest. There will be an opportunity for discussions and socializing as well as quiet reflective time and earnest inner exploration.

You do not need any prior yoga experience to come along as the yoga is suitable for all levels of experience. All you need is an interest and real desire to reconnect with yourself, your body, and be still in the space that yoga helps you create enabling profound transformations to occur and allowing you to return home refreshed and inspired.

  • Lien Mei

    Lien Mei was born in Lisbon where she lived for 23 years and since 2006, she doesn't spend more than six months at the same place. She lived in Spain, England, Andorra, France, and Mexico and traveled around the globe. She began practicing yoga in 2009, in her first visit to India and she claims that travel to be the start of a life changing for her. Lien was introduced and initiated into Reiki, a joyful shift into the beingness of spiritual love, and eventually became a master. For the last few years, Lien has devoted herself to the contemplation of the ancient traditions of yoga.

Located in Aljaima, the holistic retreat is offered in a very natural, quiet, peaceful area in the heart of the Andalusian countryside. The yoga classes are held in a platform on the side of the mountain with stunning views. This beautiful site has so much to offer that you can enjoy being surrounded by peace, quiet, and nature as you swing in one of the hammocks, refresh on the small pool, go for a long, tranquil walk, or just relax in the house.

The food served will be delicious, nutritious, and suitable for practitioners of yoga and meditation. This means developing a fuller and more meaningful connection with your bodies, with your mind, with those around you, and your purpose and place in the world. The menus offer a gentle and healthy way to detox the body by using a balance of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and seeds, as well as a combination of both raw and cooked foods.

Sample menu

  • Breakfast will contain ginger beetroot detox smoothie, homemade mixed seed, integral spelt bread, and hummus
  • Lunch could be brown lentil curry, cabbage fried rice, and tomato and peanut salad
  • Dinner starts with raw vegan carrot soup, followed by beetroot, broccoli and quinoa salad, and vegetarian gelatin to finish up
  • Lemon water and herbal teas are always available

  • Relax and refresh in the small pool
  • Relax or read books on the hammocks, terrace, and sun loungers

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Málaga International Airport (AGP).

Arrival by train

Upon arrival at the airport, follow the signs to train. Get on the train direction Malaga and get off at the second stop, Malaga, Victoria-Kent. Change to the C-2 line direction Alora and get off at Aljaima station where the retreat center staff will be waiting to welcome you when given notice of your arrival.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 7 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
