Hiking has been everyone's interest to get lost in nature. Yoga itself is divine. Being a yoga traveler leads you to the divine path to obtaining the samadhi. Everybody loves nature. Walking with the flow of nature is everyone's interest. Having a relaxing day after a hike in nature is Himalayan Yoga Academy's service.
You will be accommodated at Himalayan Yoga Academy. At Himalayan Yoga Academy they have 12 rooms with attached bathrooms, hot and cold shower, a yoga hall, a comfortable and hygienic kitchen, herbal tea, organic food, spa chambers, sauna - steam bath, swimming pool, sunbath beds, tiny beautiful gardens, meditation zones, library, music instruments, yoga mats, and Wi-Fi.
Drive from Kathmandu to Muhan Pokhari for about 30 minutes. After handling the formalities at the Shivapuri entrance gate, you enter the Shivapuri watershed and wildlife area. You commence your hike from the southern boundary of the area where the army check-post is located. The trail goes along the rugged but drivable road through pine and cherry forests up to Nangi Gompa within one and a half hours. Here, a nunnery monastery is located.
After the monastery, the trail goes steeply uphill through the oak, rhododendron, and bamboo forests for another three hours. From here you can enjoy the beauty of the snowy Himalayas ranges such as Ganesh Himal, Langtang-Lirung, and Dorji Lhakpa. Finally, you take a shortcut downhill to Budhanilkantha in about two and a half hours before commencing your drive back to Kathmandu.
Dr. Subodh is the resident expert. He is a certified yoga teacher and a bona fide naturopathic physician. His other notable accomplishments include advanced training in different types of massage like Ayurvedic, Shiatsu, Thai traditional, foot reflexology, acupressure, acupuncture, and Ayurvedic panchakarma training in Kerala, India. He also holds a Reiki master's degree in Nepal.
Swami Padmasattva has a long research and practice in human consciousness and yoga. He teaches ancient traditional yoga in a scientific way to understand easily with modern eyes and also he is an experienced and registered Yoga Teacher Yoga Alliance. He has a wide range of experience and practice in the Traditional Usui system of Reiki, Tibetan Sound Healing and Meditation, Himalayan Singing Bowl, Music Healing and Meditation, etc. which calms and relaxes your mind being connected to self.
He is also known as Himalayan Yogi, he has spent hours meditating on the lap of Mahalangur Himalayan Range, Annapurna Massif, Langtang Himalayan Range, Gosaikunda, etc.He is certified 500 Hour Yoga Alliance USA Teacher. udan is a Hatha yoga teacher at Himalayan Yoga Academy. He has been awarded as Mr. Yogi 2017 award by the National yoga sports council. He has been to India, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Australia for yoga campaigns.
She is a yoga student and practitioner for almost a decade. She has studied Yoga philosophy and Veda (ancient scripture) at Nepal Sanskrit University. She is 200hrs certified yoga teacher from American Yoga Alliance. She has been to China and various places in Nepal to teach yoga.
Born on the lap of the Himalayas and also being guided by his father Swami Yog Subodh, Suyog always dreamt of becoming a true yogi and flourishing the knowledge of yogic science all around the world. Since then he learned yogic knowledge from various educational institutions. He did his 200-hour yoga teacher training from Himalayan Yoga Academy in the year 2016 and also did 300 hours in the year 2017. He is also certified sound healer. he has been teaching YTTC Trainings from the year 2019. Also he has been runnig several retreats from the year 2019.

During your stay, you will be provided with vegetarian or vegan dinner on the first day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will on days two and three, and breakfast and lunch on day four. Herbal tea and water are also included. During festivals and rituals, you will be offered cultural food.
Himalayan Yoga Academy strive to provide organic and vegetarian or vegan meals, but if you have special dietary needs please notify them in advance. They will try to accommodate your needs as best they can.

Around the centers there are Hindus temples and Buddhist monasteries. You can go there for spiritual activities in the morning, afternoon, or evening (puja, chanting, and kirtan).
Give back to Nepal for your great experience there by traveling to local villages, temples, and health centers; spend time lending a hand on various projects.
There will be a therapy session on the main retreat days only.
