Sisse Budolfsen

Sisse is a knowledge gateway between Asia and the West. For the last 11 years, Sisse has been traveling to Nepal and Tibet. She has 10 years of experience in meditation practice and for the last years, guiding meditation at the Himalayan Buddhist Meditation Center (HBMC) in Kathmandu. Combined with local experience as a freelance consultant for various international organizations, her studies of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and Tibetan language, as well as working as a travel guide in the Himalayan region are the basis of her expertise to found Himalayan Hermitage.

Joan Hyman

Joan is based in Los Angeles, California, USA and works as the director of the teacher training at the yoga studio Wanderlust in Los Angeles. With over twenty years of experience leading retreats, training, and workshops worldwide, fifteen of which as a distinguished YogaWorks senior teacher, Joan travels the world teaching yoga teacher training. Joan’s teachings come from an organic and intuitive place as she draws upon the combination studies of Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga as well as Ayurveda and meditation. An authentic modern day yogi, Joan’s loves and devotion show up in her practices.

Parijata Charbonneau

Parijata Charbonneau is an instructor in yoga, meditation, and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. Parijata CYA-E-RYT500 has explored yoga and meditation for over 35 years. She has studied and trained with Esther Myers, Hart Lazer, Ramanand Patel, and many other renowned yoga teachers. Each has added their creativity and understanding to her B.K.S. Iyengar training. Parijata has also studied with Advaita Vedaenta with H.W.L. Punjaji and is now studying Tibetan Buddhism with Tsoknyi Rinpoche.

"Hymalayan Hermitage "

The locations of our pilgrimage were stunning with the Nado monestary being the highlight. It was a real privilege to be amonst the monks for a couple of days. Our guide, Alex was very knowledgeable and helpful and I will be booking again in the future
