Yogacharya Lalit Kumar is the founding director of Himalaya Yoga Valley Center. He has over 15 years of experience teaching nationally and internationally. He is a prominent and established yoga teacher in the global yoga community with a strong following within the yoga teaching world. As a lead teacher on all Himalaya Yoga Valley educational programs, Lalit divides his time between the Goa center and his European center in Ireland working on 200 and 500-hour trainings. Lalit also holds regular yoga retreats and immersions around the world.
Tony is the senior yoga teacher at Himalaya Yoga Valley and has been teaching on our retreats and yoga teacher training programs for over eight years. Tony has been practicing yoga for 25 years and teaching for almost 15 years. Specializing in Restorative yoga and yoga therapy, Tony is famous for his miraculously deep savasana and relaxations.
Mandeep joined HYV as a yoga teacher and program coordinator in March 2018 and she currently teaches pranayama, chanting, kriyas, and assists in asana classes on 200 and 300-hour trainings and yoga retreats. She also looks after the office administration and student enrolment process.
Tomoe is originally from Japan where she started the yoga practice. She completed her yoga teacher training with Himalaya Yoga Valley in 2012 and after seven years of teaching in Tokyo, she returned to India to complete her yoga teacher internship with the school and start work as a full-time yoga teacher with the team in Goa.
As program director of Himalaya Yoga Valley (India and Europe), she is responsible for the course and syllabus development for level one and two teacher training courses. Maeve also leads meditation and has taught and led meditation and in the last 10 years has taught thousands of students from all over the globe.
Dr Rohit Borkar
Dr. Rohit was born in Goa and completed his Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) degree at Goa University. He practices medicine in his North Goa clinics www.ayurvedagoa.org, renowned as an Ayurvedic physician, panchakarma and yoga specialist, with over a decade of experience in these areas. Dr Rohit travels extensively around India and Europe, consulting, studying, lecturing and conducting workshops on ayurveda, yoga and allied subjects.
Viriam has been teaching yoga philosophy for teacher training courses with Himalaya Yoga Valley since 2011 and has been teaching yoga and meditation for over 16 years. In 2005, she completed a Diploma in Ayurvedic Studies with the School of Ayurveda and Panchakarma in Kannur, Kerala as well as training in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage, she holds her ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage and Anatomy and Physiology.
