HERIZEN yoga for women specializes in guiding women like you that want to learn the skills and art of teaching yoga so you can bring your conscious voice and passion to your community and the world. A small group of up to eight women will reunite in a peaceful natural and nurturing environment.
This all-inclusive package includes shared accommodation in a private property home surrounded by nature. Nature Retreat is a two-minute walk to magical waterfalls and an easy 10 minute walk for river swimming plus close to the ocean too. The private property Nature Retreat is located north of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
Like the ancient yogis, you will live on the edge of the river and sea surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife. There are many tranquil places for meditation and connection with Divine Mother Earth. Accommodation is in a shared private nature home. Beds are complete with bedding, private and quiet surrounded by beautiful nature. Give yourself the change to drop back to nature, focus on your training and get certified in 13 days.
This HERIZEN Tm Yoga for Women Teacher Training / Certification is a solid foundation that you can use to teach any style of yoga that is ideal for you.
This course is open to women with a minimum of six months to one year of yoga practice and a sincere desire to learn, grow, and from the heart offer service to your community, others, and Mother Earth. Before booking, each individual has an interview before acceptance.
Through this HERIZEN Tm Level 1: 200 Hr Van Isle Yoga Teacher Training / Certification immersion for women by women, you will have completely individualized instruction, practice of yoga asanas, anatomy and physiology, learn a natural simple natural meditation technique, mantras, sacred singing, chanting, kirtan, puja, universal dances of India and the world, pranayama, chakra activation, philosophy of yoga, ethics, introduction to Ayurveda with emphasis on nutrition (focusing on prana rich foods) healthy lifestyle choices, basic Sanskrit, and an abundance of yoga teacher practicum.
Activates the power centers at your adrenals, regenerates liver, thymus, thyroid, pineal glands and brain, keeping them strong, healthy, and functioning at their best.
Introduction to Ayurveda with emphasis on optimal nutritional guidelines for ideal dietary practices to obtain and maintain higher energy levels and radiant health. Each day includes hands-on instruction for preparing prana, Qi, life force rich foods. Instruction includes proper food combining for best assimilation and absorption of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to help protect and strengthen teeth, bones, organs, and every cell in the body.

Within a short time, Valma noticed that the benefits of her Yoga practice raised her level of awareness, allowed her to stay focused, healthy and present in all aspects of her Being. This was important to her, as she had lost the use of her legs temporarily in the recovery of a spinal injury some years before. You will be nourished lavishly by our private chef with an abundance of local fresh fruits and organic vegetables grown just for you from local organic farms. Also included are a variety of nuts, butter, avocados, sprouts, and healthy forms of protein. There are three vegetarian meals in the day, two light and a delicious Ayurvedic hot prana rich vegetarian meal served in the late afternoon with a delightful dessert in the early evening. Also in this program, you will receive interactive instruction in the preparation of Ayurvedic and ideal dietary practices. Please book your flight to arrive at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and then take a short connecting flight to Cassidy Airport (YCD) in Nanaimo or another airport closer to our property location...you can ask for these details. If you arrive at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), take the sky train down town Vancouver Island followed by a bus to Horseshoe Bay, then a ferry over to Nanaimo, and finally take a taxi or bus to the private nature house retreat.
The retreat location is a 45 minute drive from Cassidy airport in Nanaimo or a 30 minute drive from the Departure Bay Ferry Terminal in Nanaimo.
