HellaYoga is so excited to announce their second Bali yoga retreat! You will be taken around the island of the Gods, Bali, to experience the beautiful villages, lush forests, mystic temples, traditional Balinese ceremonies, and much more. The goal is to show you Bali the Balinese way along with a daily profound practice of yoga. You will practice yoga twice daily with the exotically beautiful Balinese backdrop as your setting.
All ages are welcome as participants.
The retreat starts of in Sanur, which is near the airport. The first night, you will stay at the Mercure Resort, which is located directly at the beach. The second and third night will be spent in Kubu at Kubu Indah, which is a beautiful resort located on the Indian Ocean. The view from the resort is stunning as you will be facing the Indian Ocean from one side and Agung, the volcano, from the other. The fourth night, you will be staying at a home stay in Rumah Desa. The last two nights will be at Tegal Sari in Ubud.
You will be changing accommodations throughout the retreat. All of the accommodations have been sought out carefully and are clean, safe, unique, and beautiful.
You will go on several different daily excursions to experience the Balinese life and culture. The vision and mission behind the retreat is to show you Bali from the eye of a local. You will visit the Besakih Temple, which is the mother temple of the island. It is a beautiful and powerful temple located in the rain forest of Bali. It sets right on the foothill of Agung, the volcano. You will go on a detailed tour and participate in a true Balinese ceremony which is done for the group. It allows each guest to set personal goals and intentions.
On the way to Kubu, you will stop at the water temple - Tirta Gangaa. Its a small water temple located near Besakih Temple. You will do a stop there to learn more about the temple and its traditions.
On the way to Rumah Desa, you will stop at Batur mountain, an inactive volcano. You will have lunch in a beautiful restaurants which sets right on the crater. After lunch, you will drive to Pura Ulun Danu Temple, a beautiful temple located on the lake which is surrounded by mountains. It represents so much purity and stillness.
After checking out at Rumah Desa, you will stop at the elephant safari near Ubud to ride elephants and have tea as well as afternoon snacks. Once you arrive in Ubud, you will stay in the heart of the village, where you will have excursions planned to the monkey forest, rice fields as well as Pura Tirta Temple.
Hella Neumann has been practicing yoga for 5 consecutive years. Yoga in the form of asanas was brought into her life after a injury from running and she has been practicing daily since. She is a 500 RYT certified and has studied with various teachers and masters. She spends a good amount of time in India, which allowed her to dive deeper into the roots of yoga, meditation, and pranayama.
This retreat is happening in different cultural places in Bali, Indonesia.
You will be receiving with mostly organic, healthy local meals. All meals are included in the price. You will have the choice of different menu items.
While you are with HellaYoga in Bali, there will be no need to worry and make plans. They have everything planned prior to your arrival and you will be given a daily timetable. Your job is to rest and reflect; to explore and create; to be and smile; to enjoy the present moment; to slow down and let your mind rest from your day to day life; to practice letting go. There will be opportunities to explore and shop on your own time.
The retreat package includes two spa treatments. The first treatment takes place at the Mercure Spa in Sanur on the day of arrival. The duration of the massage is two hours. The massage includes a body brushing, scrub, deep tissue, or Swedish massage. The second massage will take place at Taksu in Ubud. It is a two and a half hour treatment which comes with a bath, body scrub, massage as well as a healthy delicious meal.
Visa on arrival is not necessary for most countries. The Balinese government just recently changed the law and a visa on arrival is not necessary for most countries now. Please let HellaYoga know if you have questions regarding the visa.
You will be eating and dinning at clean establishments to avoid any illnesses. Bali is known for the Bali belly, which usually is caused by unclean eating. The restaurants and eateries HellaYoga has picked has been checked and tried out and are safe to eat at.
