Whether you want to dive deeper into your understanding of yoga for personal growth, or you plan to forge a new career or life purpose, the RYT-200 foundation program will open your heart and mind to the healing practice of yoga with a comprehensive study of the 8 limbs. The Heartwood RYT-200 is a broad-based program that explores the most common pathways and methods popular in yoga today in an attempt to cross-examine and explore yoga's many diverse faces. This certification is Yoga Alliance approved and recognized worldwide to establish a valid foundation for a career in yoga.
During this teacher training program, you will be accommodated for 14 nights at Heartwood Retreat Center which is a beautiful, organic retreat center. Most of the students choose to spend most of their time on the property to focus on yoga and have much needed secluded time from the busy world to convene with nature, dive deeply into yoga studies, and explore their inner life.
Heartwood Retreat Center offers several different accommodations for those wishing to stay on the property, but Heartwood Retreat Center also provides transportation to nearby hotels within five miles of the facility for those who prefer this option.
The dorm-style housing puts four students in a beautiful and comfortable room. Everyone staying at Heartwood Retreat Center has full access to the yoga center with a kitchen, reading library, reception room with couch, and studio as well as the grounds which include garden, fire-pit, labyrinth, and other inspirational elements.
The similarities and differences of Ashtanga, Iyengar, Kundalini, Bikram, and other popular methods, as well as Power yoga, Yin yoga, Partner yoga, Aerial yoga, and more are researched. The goal of this approach is to widen the teacher’s awareness and understanding of the great diversity within the practice today.
This assures greater employment options and having a wealth of information to draw upon, helps instructors recognize the difference between what is simply style versus differing structural or energetic philosophies. With a strong understanding of yoga's varying traditions, teachers are prepared to create more diverse and appropriate practices for the different populations they may teach.
The instructors are all ERYT-500 teachers, Reiki masters, and RCYT, each with specialty training to add to the program. This program includes complimentary training in specialized areas (Aerial yoga and Reiki level one). Heartwood's programs offer a deeply authentic yoga experience at a remarkable facility for a paralleled value.
A full syllabus will be offered on the day of the teacher training program outlining how each hour is divided into practice, lecture, conversations, teaching practicum, films, posture focus, and more. This is an immersion program that covers a great deal of material comprehensively.
