Embrace the serenity of winter in the heart of the Lake District with this two-night yoga and mindfulness retreat at Rydal Hall. Set amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Rydal Water, with views of majestic mountains and tranquil woodlands, this retreat is designed to help you feel brighter, rejuvenated, and more centered as you emerge from winter’s stillness.
Rydal Hall is set in over 30 acres of garden, woodland, and natural beauty. Take in stunning views over the Rothay valley and with the Fairfield Horseshoe and Nab Scar as a backdrop. Stroll into Rydal or Grasmere village during your free time, go for a walk, and enjoy seasonal produce, or simply unwind in the yoga space and chill-out areas; it is up to you. Practice yoga in both indoor and outdoor spaces, in the sun, or under the cool shade of luscious trees.
Come on your own, with friends, or family. There are single and shared rooms available. The rooms are all comfortable, warm, and cozy, and complement the surroundings and traditional character of the hall. They have bed linen, towels, hospitality trays, and free Wi-Fi.

Arrival time is from 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Rosanna and Siôn will warmly welcome you at the Hall with an evening Hatha yoga class and meditation session so you can relax after your journey, followed by a dinner all together in the Hall restaurant. On Saturday morning, there will be a Hatha yoga class and meditation to help you wake up and energize your body, center your mind, and feel refreshed for the day ahead, followed by a wholesome breakfast.
During the afternoon, there will be an optional day’s hike to Easdale Tarn, one of the Lake's much-loved wonderful walks where you will enjoy a healthy packed lunch and dip in the lake should you wish to. Or you can simply choose to relax and put your feet up at the Hall or stroll into Rydal or Grasmere village and surrounding areas or have some quiet time in the yoga space.
On return to the Hall, there will be free time, followed by an evening restorative yoga class to help you ease into your evening, followed by a delicious dinner in the Hall restaurant. You can enjoy the extensive gardens too. On Sunday, you will enjoy a morning yoga class, followed by breakfast together, a mindfulness session, and an optional walk before the retreat finishes at 2:00 p.m.
Explore the stunning surroundings of Rydal Water and the Lake District with two guided walks. One to the beautiful Rydal caves nearby and another to the village of Grasmere and an optional extended walk to Easdale Tarn.
Rosanna Gordon is a British Wheel of Yoga-trained teacher with nine years of teaching experience and has been practicing yoga since 2007. She teaches Hatha yoga in Liverpool to groups, organizations, and individuals from different backgrounds for a variety of health conditions and aims. Rosanna specializes in teaching one-to-one yoga classes, tailoring the class for the individual for their individual needs. She also writes for various yoga publications, magazines, and online, as well as for her own blog.
Sion is a transformational life coach, mindfulness expert, yoga teacher, and Kirtan leader from Wales. He has traveled the world learning the skills and insights he now uses in delivering dynamic and insightful workshops.
This program will take place in the village of Rydal which is in the county of Cumbria, in North West England of the United Kingdom. Rydal Hall, close by to Rydal Water, is a beautiful hall nestled amidst the Central Fells and a short stroll from the idyllic villages of Grasmere and Ambleside.

You can enjoy beautiful views of green rolling hills and expansive lakes all around you. You will be served daily fresh and delicious seasonal meals, with vegetarian or vegan options at the Rydal Hall restaurant included in the price. Enjoy warming, wholesome meals catered to all diets, crafted to support your well-being, with ingredients inspired by the winter season. Teas and coffee will be provided throughout the weekend. There will also be morning juice. Other drinks are not included. The menu will be tailored for the group - vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets can be catered for.
