Sandi Melody
Yoga-sing is the brainchild of Sandi Melody who has been teaching contemporary vocal techniques for 25 years. She created a very successful leadership/performance program (Professional Musician Training Program) in her Contemporary Music School, "Harmony House Music Training & Education Centre". She knows from experience that singing is a skill that anyone can learn and everyone can improve. At the heart of vocal technique is understanding the physical body and how it resonates. Through yoga, singers not only open the body but can learn to feel the subtle energy that is created when move.

Jeremy Vallance
As of 2014, Jeremy is the owner of Harmony House Training & Education Centre Inc. He has a BMus Degree as a clarinetist and bandleader and experience as both a professional musician and music educator. He enjoyed a career on community television in Winnipeg from 2004 - 2014 where he did it all! He was a TV personality, a director, a producer, a cameraman, and eventually a supervisor. He discovered his passion for directing the choir in 2006 with Spirit's Call Choir, Winnipeg (a choir that grew from 120 people to 170 people over his 8-year directorship).

I cannot say enough good about this 4 day yoga and singing retreat with Harmony House Community. Yes leaving at the end was the hard part. A lot of thoughtfulness went into this retreat. From the instructions to the facilitation. The location and accommodations were superb and the food at Stowell Lake Farm was exquisite! A very unique and very wonderful place. This was a very well laid out retreat. The diversity of movement, yoga, dance, stretching with instructions on breath and voice dynamics. Sandy incorporated a few different modalities such as yoga, 5 rhythm dance, an evening of silence, the morning pages. Sandy and Jeremy are a wonderful team. I would say I very much enjoyed the quality of instruction and clarity, as well as the reminder to honor one's own body, needs and paying attention to it's messages. I came away rejuvenated, relaxed, nourished, nurtured, much more open then when I first arrived at the retreat. I loved every aspect of the 4 days. I am still singing and humming the songs we have been introduced to. I am so impressed with the food and the location of this place. It took me a few days to let everything settle in, now I am so impressed with the instructions and the activities that were laid out for us. Met some truly wonderful humans. Still see the light in their eyes and still hear their voices harmonizing. Truly the best thing I did for myself in a long time. So grateful to have found this site and this retreat. In gratitude and appreciation.
