    well put together, authentic experience

CONS Cons: teaching part of training was lacking but it is very commercialized 27 day teacher training. rather expected. you can't expect to be a real yoga teacher in a month. rishikesh in June is extremely hot and also very busy with Indian holiday season full of tourists in a tiny town. it took me awhile to get used to the noise in the town. the whole city is vegetarian and no-alcohol

PROS Pros: people were very nice and accommodating. food was always good, not too spicy with pretty good variety. most everything was on schedule. good experience for 27 days training

    TT 100 hours

CONS Cons: What was a bit complicated sometimes was the schedule, on what time a certain lesson would start. For me that was the only thing, that confused me.

PROS Pros: The manager was really involved with all the students personally. I really had a wonderful time . Everybody was helpful and friendly. The teachers were very supportive and professional . For me it was a great expierence on my yoga path. Especially the Ashtanga Vinyasa every morning at 6.30 am and the lovely pranayama teacher, he was also so involved with all the students Thank you so much everybody for this wonderful experience Namaste

    Excellent Yoga Course

CONS Cons: I undertook a 100-hour course, which joined the second half of a 200 hours one. As a result, some of the matters had been previously dealt with. The teachers sometimes gave us 'catch-up' sessions for those 100 hours students who had started later. This was ok and I tried to make sense of it because of my previous experience in yoga but it was not the case for everybody. I know the 200 h students were very satisfied overall but maybe it is worth rethinking the structure or timing of the 100 hour course.

PROS Pros: From the first contact with the manager, the attention was wonderful. Pramod answered all questions promptly, warmly and offered further help. The place was good, clean and well located in Tapovan, which made it easy to explore the area. The classes were well paced and the teachers were very competent and responsive to the students. Given the limited number of students in the class, this provided a very personalised learning focus and environment. The food and accommodation was of very high standards and the staff was efficient and always warm and welcoming. Mine was a very satisfactory experience and I would highly recommend.

    A life shaping journey

CONS Cons: Philosophy teacher: the way he portrayed his ideas wasn't in a very nice manner. I feel he didn't have much respect for me as a student, and was quick to not listen to my input on the topics. He was the only part of my wonderful time here that I disliked.

PROS Pros: The spirit and humble nature of all the teachers and everyone who worked there from the kitchen staffs warm friendly smiles to the skill and professionalism of the yoga teachers. Was such a life changing experience and sense of pure happiness throughout the journey.

CONS Cons: i didn't bring a sleeping bag with me and they only had big thick blankets on the beds and because India is so hot I slept without anything covering me and got attacked my mosquitos. Also we weren't told they took cash only so when wanting to pay for the course we had to take cash out of an ATM here and due to the 10,000 rupee limit we were charge quite a bit on fees to get the total for the course out. So make sure you take cash with you there!

PROS Pros: Absolutely loved my time here, the yoga, meditation and pranayama classes were by far the most interesting and inspiring classes I've ever taken. The teachers were so knowledgeable and motivating, and simply beautiful people to spend these past two weeks with. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to gain some valuable knowledge in this way of life.

It is very helpful to be so near the hotel and restaurant so we could really focus on class alone without the distractions."

I have learnt so much and been given the confidence to teach my own classes !!!! My mother came for the health benefits and to learn the practice for herself. She now is inspired and very confident to give her own classes as well. The teachers were very knowledgeable and always giving help and kindness. I will always be eternally grateful for this wonderful opportunity to do yoga at this school where there is so much love for everyone. And last but not least thankyou to Pramodji and his wonderful family Sonar, Puja and Ganesh for being the living breathing example of what yoga is. "The school has great teachers. I really appreciate every moment I spent here learning new things for me. I love the way school teaches here. There are many explanations and group discussions. The accommodation was very good, the staff was really friend and the food was very tasty!"

"A yoga school based on so much more than simply exercise! The slogan is "Going Beyond Asana". Pramod Sahoo the director has trained for many years, with great devotion, to all aspects of Yoga Teacher Trainer. He is dedicated to passing on his knowledge and skill to students who are serious about learning traditional yoga. This truly is one of the best Yoga Schools in Rishikesh."

"I have known Pramod for 8 years, most of these I was a mentor to him while studying and later while he was teaching in the ashram of the Himalayan Masters in Rishikesh. From the moment I met him, he struck me as a very intelligent and committed student; as a teacher he showed not only extraordinary knowledge (even academically) but deep wisdom and insight, as well as an open heart to all he meets. All of this speaks of the ancient wisdom of a highly qualified teacher and spiritual guide worth training with. I would trust him with my life."

"I was walking through Rishikesh with nothing in my mind when I crossed by chance with this school. I must say this was one of the greatest experiences in my life. I stayed for two weeks on the school and I learned so much! I understood what yoga really is which was a milestone on my spiritual path. I still feel myself as part of the Hari Om Yoga Vidya Family and count the days till I come back again to deepen my practice and keep working for a higher goal. I fully recommend this school!"

"I first met Pramod as a young, very well inclined student of yoga; I had very good classes with him. Years later, I met him again. He has grown into a committed, humble, serious teacher. I would recommend him and his school, no doubt."

"Pramod Sahoo comes from a traditional lineage, yet ventures to reach the seekers of today. He is not just a very knowledgeable teacher, but embodies the yogic principles and connects them with a modern life. I am grateful for him as a teacher as he can reach me where I am and help me to go where I want to. His inner light is visible to the eye, accompanied by his heart-warming laughter and serene modest way."

"Pramod is a loving kind man who has overcome struggles to become the teacher he now is. He continues to learn and grow and reveal to us his insights. A spiritual man with a lovely heart and a good yoga teacher who cares sincerely."
