The programs are small and intimate with never more than 5 persons offering you lots of individual attention and guidance. Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat is a health and wellness program as well as a yoga retreat. Along with expert yoga practice, you will have the opportunity to experience the warm friendly Nepali culture and lifestyle. The retreat is located very near the awesome Seti River Canyon. Each morning, you will start the day with a walk into the canyon and a yoga session overlooking the river. Connecting with nature is an important part of our health vacation experience. Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat is in a quiet part of town but only a short walk to the Lakeside district on Lake Fewa where you will find an international array of restaurants, shopping and social gathering places for dining and dancing. Pokhara town offers ample adventures: paragliding, trekking, river rafting, biking, swimming, and much more.The skill level is beginner and intermediate with separate sessions for each level. If you are advanced you may practice on your own at optional times and locations around the retreat grounds.
You will be staying at Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat in Pokhara, Nepal. The building is a four-story brand new building. Guests occupy the ground and the first floor. The kitchen and sitting room and yoga sala are on the ground floor, the hosts' personal bedroom and three guest bedrooms are on the first floor, one bathroom are on each floor, and a hot shower is on the first floor. You will have access to the fourth floor for amazing 360-degree views of the Annapuna Mount range and valley.
The retreat venue is in a small village like the neighborhood, only five homes in a cluster while surrounded by rice fields and the Annapurna foothills. It is amazingly beautiful and quiet. You will be really close to the Seti River Canyon, only 10 minutes to the trail head.
There is bus transportation two minutes away to serve the whole city for 20-50 NPR. Also, taxis are always nearby and one can walk to the Lakeside tourist and Lake Fewa area in forty minutes. It is like you will have the best of both worlds, surrounded by the natural farm country like an island but with the city just a few minutes away.
One room called "Mountain View" because it has a view of the mountains that can be seen while the guest is in bed, and two rooms simply called Guest room 1 and Guest room 2, both have access to a balcony with mountain view. The rooms have one double bed and one single bed and can accommodate up to 3 persons each. The total capacity is nine people. The rooms are private with a shared bathroom and hot shower all year round.
As we begin the trek we will stay for one night in Sidhane Community Homes which is a homestay program. Here you will have the opportunity to discover the authentic mountain village lifestyle and appreciate the warm hospitality of these amazing hardy folks. The next night we begin a two night stay in Panchase Village at the lovely Happy Heart Hotel owned by three Nepali sisters. The terrain is a beautiful mountain forest. We will practice yoga and meditation each day.
Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat offers an optional session in pranayama breathing practice at 6 a.m. Also, they offer acupressure and Swedish style massage at a cost of 10 USD per hour.
Radha is the creator and director of Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat. Radha is a charismatic excellent teacher, everyone falls in love with her warm and buoyant personality. She has a sociology degree from the School of Learning, Jana Matri College in Kathmandu. Radha is an RYT 200-hour certified yoga teacher from the Himalayan school of yoga in Pokhara, Nepal. She teaches beginner and intermediate Hatha and Vinyasa yoga classes at the retreat. Also, Radha is an expert in offering herbal remedies for health and healing. She also loves to have guests learn Nepali cooking, language, and culture.
Albert is a resident volunteer therapist at Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat. He loves to engage the guests in lively meaningful chats. With 30 years of world travel, he has many stories to share. He is a psychotherapist, meditation teacher, massage therapist, and holistic health practitioner. Albert is experienced in detox and meditation practice and an expert in guiding people through lifestyle changes and internal cleansing and fasting programs. He shares yoga and Qigong with beginner yoga students. Albert is 76 years young and started doing yoga at 50. If he can do it so can you.
What makes Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat's location special is that we are in a neighborhood that is very much like a farm village surrounded by rice fields and the foothills of the Annapurna mountains, and yet they are a short walk, bus trip or taxi to Pokhara cities Lakeside tourist district and all parts of Pokhara City and surrounds.
This allows their guests to experience a village life style and get to know their friendly neighbors and the warm Nepali culture, and also enjoy fine restaurants and nightlife. They are also close to the amazing Seti River canyon, where you can swim most of the year. It is a great place for chilling in nature, watching the eagles catch fish and occasionally seeing hundreds of monkeys passing by on their search for food.
You will be introduced to healthy local Nepali food prepared by Radha in the traditional style. If you like, she will teach you as well. Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat uses organic food from their garden, as well as from a local organic farm. You may request a diet that suits your preferences including Western-style if you prefer. Tea, water, and fruit are available all day.
Just a short walk from the retreat, you may want to escape into the natural beauty of the Seti River Canyon. It is an ideal place to meditate, practice yoga, swim, or just chill and absorb the high vortex of energy this canyon emits. Also nearby is the famous International Mountain Museum.
The Lakeside district of Pokhara offers a wealth of activities, international, local and ethnic restaurants, entertainment, contemporary and traditional music, and dance, a brand new sports arena and gym, lake view dining, world-class paragliding, bungy jumping, rafting, swimming, mountain trekking and biking, and even a modified Disneyland.
It's a rapidly growing tourist destination to answer the whims of adults, children, nightlife, extreme sports, and alternative health and spiritual pursuits such as yoga and meditation, with various religious attractions and temples where you will find Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, and Muslim folks all in harmony with each other.
Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat takes their guests to nearby waterfalls, swimming locations, and tourist attractions if desired at an additional minimal cost. There are many activities that they can provide bookings for such as paragliding, river rafting, trekking, mountain biking, and much more.
The retreat is just a 45-minute walk to lakeside or a short taxi ride for only 300 to 400 Nepali Rupees, yet far enough away from this activity to maintain a quiet, peaceful, nourishing connection with nature. The retreat is very close to the awesome beauty of the Seti River Canyon small colourful family gardens.
Guests often express feeling a warm homestay ambience and enjoy connecting with the friendly neighbours in a non-commercial environment. The neighborhood is like a small mountain village with the feeling of the authentic Nepali culture.
There are a few family restaurants serving the local menu and some mom and pop shops selling essential convenient snacks, beverages, and supplies. There will never be more than six guests and often there will be less, which adds to the individual attention and mellow healing attention you will receive at the retreat. The famous amazing International Mountain Museum is a short walk from our retreat. most guests find it a very special attraction.
Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat offers Swedish and acupressure massage at a cost of 10 USD per hour. Also, pedicure, manicure, and facials are offered at 10 USD.

Please book your flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). From Kathmandu, you can fly to Pokhara City through Pokhara Airport (PKR) on several domestic airlines. Happy Healthy Pokhara Retreat recommends Yati and Buddha airlines for about 125 USD. It's about a half hour flight from the airport.
