Kettlebell and TRX training are different than other forms of weight training because many parts of the body are exercised simultaneously, and in addition, the training elevate the heart rate for effective cardiovascular training.
Kettlebells are an ancient Russian strength training tool. These cannonballs with handles can be used in ballistic (explosive) swinging movements utilizing the whole body along with momentum or used in more traditional press and squat exercises. The exercises require full body integration and core stabilization. There is no such thing as isolated muscle work in kettlebell training.
TRX is a form of suspension training that uses gravity and motion to build strength, endurance, cardiovascular capacity, balance, and flexibility.
The TRX Kettlebell program combines both systems in fun and explosive workouts and includes 4 personal classes per week. This retreat is only offered as a personal retreat.

Hacienda del Sol is situated amidst a jungle and share land with the monkeys, birds, and other beautiful wildlife indigenous to the region. At night, you can hear the ocean waves crash into shore from your cabina, or watch the moonlight cast a fluorescent glow on the water while digging your feet into the black sand beach. They honor nature’s bounty and strive to have minimal impact on the earth.
Hacienda Del Sol is close to many beaches, but there are two beaches visited most often. One is a black sand beach that is only a couple minutes’ drive or a 15-minute walk away. The other is a white sand beach with calmer water that’s perfect for snorkeling and swimming. The white sand beach is a five-minute drive or 25-minute walk away.
The remote location in the jungle, miles away from the noisier cities and tourist-driven areas, keeps your essence intact so that you can be yourself without distractions. The closest town is San Juanillo, a town of 200 people, which you can reach in five minutes by car. If you’re looking for more excitement, you can head to Nosara for a day trip. Nosara is a much larger town and is about a 30-minute drive away.
You will have full-service raw living foods breakfasts, lunches, and dinners during the retreat as well as Hacienda del Sol signature food to go on the day you leave to skip airport food. You will also have freshly pressed juices, coconut water, and teas. Hacienda del Sol’s menu is designed to support your highest wellness goals and chooses to serve mostly living foods.
