Join Gypsea Yoga in this wonderful paddle board teacher training in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. This course is specially designed for you to learn confidently yoga on a paddle board. Discover your potential and enjoy the wildlife that abounds in the scenic waters, from the great white heron to nurse sharks, sea turtles, and lots of brightly colored tropical fish!
During this course, you will stay in a shared room. You may choose from one of the retreat guest house options at Gypsea Yoga. Each house is unique and near the sea.
During this course, you will learn the basics of paddle boarding techniques, how to facilitate and teach SUP (Stand Up Paddle) yoga classes, pranayama and asanas for paddle boarding, weather and water safety, and paddle board yoga business application.
You will also learn the correct paddle skills and turns, water safety, modification of yoga poses on the board, and how to teach beginner and advanced students, all while learning to teach paddle board yoga to individuals, couples, and group classes. Before you leave, you will teach your first SUP yoga class.
Attendants must be able to swim, have a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certification, a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification or being in progress to complete it. The Itinerary will depend on weather and tidal conditions. Registered yoga teachers will be able to add 25 contact hours to their registration with Yoga Alliance.
As part of this course, you will have the chance to explore the Florida Keys nearshore habitats, sandy beaches, mangrove forests, and sea grass beds. Depending on the weather, you will also have the chance to head out to the crystal clear waters of Looe Key Reef.
An ex-gymnast, spinally fused, 14-year yogi, Ashtangi, trained in India, with a gypSEA soul whose practice draws from Hatha, Kundalini, and Vinyasa. Her heart-centered approach evokes an understanding of interconnectedness through a focus on self-love, nature and seva (service). The intention being for her students to discover the light within that ignites their path to inner peace, the connection which opens the heart to universal love.
This training will be held at Gypsea Yoga facilities in Florida Keys, USA. Gypsea Yoga is located right at the Florida Keys near the National Marine Sanctuary.
For this course, meal services will be available on request for an additional cost.
