Learning yoga in Rishikesh means learning yoga from its beginnings. At Gyan Yog Breath, you will meet yoga masters who surrender their lives completely to the path of yoga. They practise and know yoga for many lives already and see it as their purpose to spread its power and uniqueness.

Rishikesh is also known as the World Capital of Yoga. As the source and birth city of yoga, Rishikesh is a magical and holy place that has been somehow attracting people from all over the world for many years already. You can be sure that you will meet like-minded people here and make friendships that will last forever.

The city is divided into two parts by the Ganges River and surrounded by the Himalayan mountains - beautiful scenery. All over Rishikesh, you can find local markets, unique shops and breath-taking views of the holy River and nature.

Rishikesh is 7 hours away from Delhi (by bus) and 40 minutes away from Dehradun Airport (by taxi).

The Ashram is located directly at the Ganges River and National Park at Visthapit Residency which is a few kilometres away from the busy and noisy main market (bazaar). While listening to the birds and nature sounds, you have the opportunity to commit to a true journey within. Enjoy the sunset evening walks along the River and maybe you will be able to spot an elephant as well!

The area is completely safe and people are very friendly. From the ashram, you can walk to the main road and catch a Tuk-Tuk to get to the city centre. It’s only a 15-minute ride. There are lots of shops, ATMs, cafés and restaurants. Every Sunday, Gyan Yog Breath offers a weekend excursion so you get to explore the surroundings as well.

People from different countries, from all around the world, visit this divine city to enjoy nature and learn yoga and other forms of spirituality. The Center is surrounded by beautiful scenery and green surroundings, rushing and flowing rivers, and tranquil nature. These views have the power to purify and heal your soul completely.
